How I got credit database..Permission Granted!

I'm creating a database so that we can track our apps, approvals, scores at app time. Kinda like the one at that other site that we can't link to here.

I think it would be helpful for everyone here.

I will throw a link up as soon as its ready. If anyone has suggestions as to what to include, I'll monitor the responses on this thread.

Re: How I got credit database..?

I would like to see all the columns you would see on whogavemecredit, and the other one we must never speak of. Which btw, I like its search parameters. Maybe its something about the UI. Also, if we could have a column giving the opportunity to list INQ/baddies. That would be helpful, and I am more than willing to share my dirt. We are all here for the same things in common, so I dont see it being an issue.

Re: How I got credit database..?

Since this would be geared toward MF users and most of us are willing to be open, I think that having a spot where we enter overall utilization would be good. I know that we don't want it to be cumbersome, else people won't put in the information, but I think to really maximize productivity, it should include:

Date of app
Specific card applied for
Scores at time of app (only if real FICO's)
HHI
Overall CC utilization
Negative history (quick summary, e.g. BK 7 06/2001, no lates since)
CB pulled ------- it would be great if this could be modified later, i.e. we could put in everything above and then add this when we figure out what was pulled
Approval/rejection decision (either CL & rate or reasons for decline)

Note: reasons for decline would be another item to be updated later

Thanks for looking into this! Smiley Happy

If listing baddies to have people state what kind of baddies such as lates, co's, judgements a more complete list of baddies instead of just the # of baddies listed. This would help some people decide if an inquiry is worth the app. To me the number of baddies doesn't give the full picture, a 30 late is not nearly as harmful as a pr.

Re: How I got credit database..?

In terms of interface, the thing that bugs me about wgmc is the single variable search criteria. I'd like to see a more advanced input form and search functionality that allows the user to specify/search on:

- applicant's state
- method of application (in store, on line, phone, preapp. offer, etc.)
- bk (y/n)
- CRA(s) pulled
- creditor name
- utl %
- FICO score(s) from pulled CRA(s)
- recent derogs (any lates within last 2 yrs - yes/no)
- Total # of lates on pulled CRA(s)
- Recency of lates on pulled CRA(s) - (how long ago was most recent late payment)
- Major Derogs (yes/no)
- Type of Derog (if applicable)
- Recency of derog
- approved (yes/no)
- CL
- annual fee (y/n)
- APR (in ranges)
- length of cred history
- average age of accounts
- Age of most recently opened account
- Number of accounts open within the past 12 months
- Number of inquiries within past 12 months

It would be great if the input form could be intelligent - to logic check things like bk = yes, but Major derog = no. If building the search functionality is too much, maybe a reasonable alternative would be to build in a simple "Export to spreadhseet" so I can just set up my own filters. Leave it to me to try to over-build something, but if you ask me for a wish list, I'll shoot for the moon. Good luck!

I will try to implement everything that everyone is suggesting, just give me some time. This looks like it's going take a little while to get all that included.

Re: How I got credit database..?

For any baffled members, there are certain credit repair forums that do a lot of unethical (by myFICO's definition) manipulation of reports. We don't publish links to these sites, even when they have something useful on them.

Doubtless someone will rescue molly soon!
