Did New Millenium Bank Buy Out Merrick Bank?

When I log on to my dw geico card issued by merrick bank, it now takes me to nm banks site. Does anyone here have a geico card with merrick bank?

I notice that if I input my hooters info on nm site, it gives me my information with no problem. I'm wondering bigtime about my hooters now... card that is lol

Sorry Mods if I listed this post in a inproper location.

That is not very good news. I dont have geico card but I do have NMB Secured Credit Card. The card has no grace period and costs money the day I make any charge on my card. Planning to close that card soon. I feel bad for GEICO Card holders if Merrick sold those cards to NMB.

Yup, it's official The Geico Plat MC is now handled by New Millienium Bank....

Chase will buyout Wamu also by 05-08 IMHO... Now there I really feel sorry for their subprime accounts. Remeber chase policy will never allow an account with a bk in the first place. Chase will close most of the wamu accounts... again this is IMO

Just now I was reading on Google. Merrick/Geico Card does not have grace period either. I guess it fits into NMB culture. I have to close my NMB card and get my $2k Deposit back and put it into a good yielding CD.

Re: Did New Millenium Bank Buy Out Merrick Bank?

found this when I Googled geico mastercard :

https://www.geicocreditcardapplication.com/faqs.aspx

What's funny is that when I Googled geico merrick, one of the hits was this:

And when you click the link, it takes you straight to the New Millennium link above.

NMB, Hooters and Geico all you the same website service.  If you make a mistake and put in the wrong user name, you will automatically be directed to that passwords site.  I know because I have had all 3 and made this mistake.

Wow.........how rumours get started.

Well, perhaps rumors, but the FAQ's page for the card states that the card is handled by New Millennium. If the card is still Merrick, they should clean up their website.

See the posted link above. Smiley Happy
