Which months are they reporting 60 day lates for? May and June? Also, you don't need to haggle with TransUnion, any longer. This is a matter for the OC to resolve, as TU will simply tell you that they report the info as they receive it from the OC. The OC needs to correct this with TU, so you need to prove to the OC that they are reporting this incorrectly, which isn't that hard to do. You call up the collections/credit dispute dept., tell whatever Rep that you wish to speak to a supervisor regarding account # XXXXXXXX, they may hesitate, but if they do tell them that unless this matter is resolved ASAP you will be filing suit. Be prepared to fax to them (this is quicker than certified mail -- which you can do later, if you need to) the pertinent page(s) of your credit report that contains the incorrect information that they are reporting to TU. (Keep the fax log/receipts and pages together. Do a cover sheet.) Remind them that this is in violation of the FCRA, and must be corrected ASAP! Be prepared, also, to provide whatever documentation you have of the payments you made to substantiate the fact that you were never 60 days late.
As importantly, insist that they send to you a print out of all activity on the account for as many months as you deem necessary. This print out must contain the dates they are reporting that you were in arrears, as well as it must contain the actual date this account was paid in full and closed, as this is the status of your account. You need this information to confront them with, as well as the CRAS, should any more errors appears on your reports regarding this account. Give them 2 weeks to make the corrections, and stay on top of them until they do.
PS -- I almost forgot! Get a letter from them, if at all possible, that assures you they will update your credit file with the corrected information.
