When does the SOL run out? DOFD or DOLA?

From the Date of First Delinquency or the Date of Last Activity?

I have a CC account that was first delinquent in 2/04. A collection agency bought the account in 2006, and are reporting my old CO as a delinquent Installment account.

Do I DV the OC or the CA?

Thanks!

First remember if you DV and are within SOL  be ready to pay the full amount.

What is your SOL?     Some states go by DOLA for SOL......DOFD has to do with CRTP (CR drop date)

BUT  you only DV a CA and it should be sent CMRRR!!!

SOL varies by state. What is your state of residence?

You DV the CA, and I'd recommend DVing whether you're ready to pay or not. It preserves your rights, ensures they really own the account and you really owe it, and even if you owe it and it's within SOL then it buys you some time with the CA.
