How many cards do you actually carry in your wallet?

A lot of people here have so many cards. Do you actually carry all of them with you all the time?

I have 4 cards but keep only 2 in my wallet at any one time. Citi Forward is always in there b/c I eat out/buy something to drink pretty much everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. The other card gets rotated depending on if I need to buy something specific that day that falls in a bonus category, like groceries or gas.

Just curious what you guys do. I'd hate to carry a lot of cards with me only to have my wallet get stolen :(

I has numerous credit cards but there's only a select few that the wallet houses. Two Amex, muh Discover and of course my debit card for when the all else fails. Still yet to get a Visa that makes me smile.

Until this month I only carried one, an Amex Gold. Now I carry a Freedom for a backup.

I carry my Discover and my Debit Card, but I don't use a wallet. I use a rubber band since I realized my wallet was partially to blame for my minor back problems (which have gone away completely since I stopped using a wallet).

Oh yes, this body of mine doesn't like having a wallet parked on the rear for that very reason. Now I have one of those slim credit card wallets that I keep stored in a front pocket. Plus I feel more secure when I go places when it's in my front pocket.

I don't worry about "security", I grew up in Detroit. :smileywink: But, my rubber-band wallet is in my front-pocket, too!

I recently upgraded to a slim wallet too and WOW does it make a world of difference. I can barely feel it at all and it doesn't bulge out from my pants. It only has 2 credit card sleeves so I guess it helps with minimizing what I carry.

I use the M-Clip (so sick). I basically carry the amex plat as primary, with venture sig backup and marriot business visa for "business expenses". Sometimes bring out the blue preferred for groceries (6%!).

I carry 3 CCs - my NFCU cashRewards, Amex Zync and Discover. NFCU for most purchases, Amex for.. well, when I feel like using the Amex, Discover for gas/gas stations right now. I get the feeling the Discover will get rotated in and out depending on what bonus offers are going on. In addition to the CCs I always also have a debit card, just in case I need to pay with debit or get cash from an ATM.

Also, I have to agree with others about not having my wallet in my back pockets. It's just so uncomfortable to sit on. If I'm wearing looser jeans, I'll have my wallet in my front pocket. If I'm wearing something that has smaller pockets, I generally just carry the cards separately or I use a money clip.

One credit card (Barclay, soon to be replaced by my newly-approved credit union credit card with a lower interest) and my debit card in case I need cash...that's it.

I only have two card slots for my wallet, and in those slots is my Amex Zync and new Chase Freedom Visa.

MC - CapOne Cash Rewards

and one more that i rotate to keep the accounts active..

Six. Two mastercards(Chase Freedom and Barclays Rewards), two Visas (PNC Cashbuilder, Amazon Chase), two American Express (Fidelity 2% rewards, American Express Blue Cash Everyday). With these I get the highest possible cashback no matter where I go. The rest of my cards will probably never see the light of day except for the Macy's American Express whenever I go to Macy's.

I carry AMEX Gold RPand Blue CP, Chase Freedom Signature Visa, B&N World MC, debit card, and Sams Club Discover. Sometimes I also carry the DM that I am AU on. I carry a CC walet inside my purse. A few month ago, I carried 3 or 4 more cards.
