741 held back from new inqs for CLI (USAA, AMEX, Alliant- the 1st 2 granted) and cluster of accounts less than 18 months old (NFCU, Walmart Dicover, Pen Fed) Re-opened Walmart cc after closing one a few years ago (prior ro when it offered a free TU '08 monthly.) Second key factor affecting score: The remaining balance on your installment loans is too high-this formula seems to punish more for recent pattern of slow pay on installment loan (SL) though recently paid off a 36 months 5.99 APR signature loan in 4 months.

Down 3 pts from 690 to 687. It says I'm making heavy use of available credit????huh??? I have 5% utilization on my open credit cards. This version must count closed accounts that still have a balance on them? Anyone know the answer?

All versions will calculate utilization on closed cards IF both the credit limit and balance are being reported. If either of these is missing then the account is not factored into utilization.

WTH?!?! Mine dropped 19 points!!! No new accounts opened, no apps since Dec '11...I have no idea why my score dropped so much!! :smileysad:

Thats just teasing right there, my EX FAKO did that to me for 2 months, just sat at 699 :smileymad:
