Am I the only one addicted??

Applying for credit card is addicting and I DONT EVEN NEED IT !!!

Since December, I applied 6 times and was approved everytime except for Delta Gold Card for AMEX (!$%$!$%!) !!

I know that I should wait for atleast a year before I do anything but I cant stop and feel like applying for more... SOMEONE HELP ME! !!

Ok, I'll come out and say it. You said, "I know that I should wait for atleast a year before I do anything." Ok, then you know what you should do. Now, it's up to YOU to do it. If you don't need the credit, if you know that you need to wait before doing anything more, then STOP APPING!!!!!! Really, what else is there to say?

There are a few things I can say.

Sometimes it helps to put together some longer term credit goals. For instance, if I wait one year, I can app for "insert better card name here". Or, I want to refi in a few years, or buy my first house, so I want my overall picture to look like this, so I need to plan. But if you can see a placce in the future where you can app, it is easier not to app now.

Sometimes it helps to put together some longer term credit goals. For instance, if I wait one year, I can app for "insert better card name here". Or, I want to refi in a few years, or buy my first house, so I want my overall picture to look like this, so I need to plan. But if you can see a placce in the future where you can app, it is easier not to app now.

+1 That's what I did. Seeing all of the approvals here made me go bonkers. I wanted to app for cards SO badly. But I wrote out my credit goals and every time I got the urge to app, I would remind myself of my long-term goals. It's hard to be patient, but it has paid off so far. :)

Yes, I agree with this. My response with directed towards the idea that the OP came out and stated that there was no need for any further credit, just a desire to app. Looking back, I realize that my tone was quite blunt. But, apping without a goal in mind doesn't make good credit sense to me.

There really isnt this one card I want. Seriously is there the ONE anymore? Almost all categories have the same types of benefit and you only get those benefit if you use just one for a while.

I really dont have a credit goal interms of scores to be honest. Maybe I need to have one. BTW is there a service you awesome folks use on a monthly basis to check your score that is safe, accurate and cheap? I tried a few all at the same time and they all have drastically different on each. So I am all confused.

I thought your response was fine. But I hit straight, with no chaser, so I appreciate that in other people. If you have a bigger plan...some serious fish to fry, then you "control" your addiction, buckle down and do the darn thing. If you just wanna app in the wild, and aren't concerned about the near future, then that's okay too, because you understand what that means. There really isn't much else to say.

agreed im addctied but have a plan... once i get my set that i want lol.....but i do plan on moving out of my house in two years or so... so i would like my cards set by 6/13ish so i can have a good clean slate for inqs that is...
