Congrats, great story!

I've had a good run-in with Chase recently. I was approved for a Chase Freedom earlier this mornth...but with only a $500 CL. This was much too low to be of any real benefit so I used the back door number for the Chase Executive Ofc. in IL and requested an increase to $1500. The lady said she had to send it over to the lending dept. and would be back to me within a day. She called me in a few hours and said I'd been aproved for the increase. Chase ain't so bad after all.

The best I've ever heard from someone who sucessfully reconned a blacklist decision was a $500 slate card (those are few and far between and the CLs never grow). The fact that you were approved for a freedom, with a decent limit with a prior Chase baddie makes you a pioneer regarding Chase's blacklisting, and reconning policies. This is news I've not heard of in my research of thousands of post read (here, and other sites) over the past couple of years. It could have been a really nice rep, or better yet Chase softening their requirements for getting back in their good graces. I hope to hear more stories like this in the future as it could give me a glimmer of hope to get in with them as opposed to using DWs Freedom :smileytongue:
