GE Walmart CLI

Called in tonight to see if I were able to get a CLI and was given $500 more ($1600 to $2100)! Im currently in payment mode but the increase will lower my UTIL about 3 points :) Hoping it was a SP since it was so low... lets wait to see if I get an alert! As far as I know, Im still in the garden - lets hope it stays that way!

Thanks =) They started me out low as well. Within 6 months my limit was nearly doubled - hopefully they do the same for you!

I got the 7 day message also but, I called them they just need to verify my idenity, only got a 300$ CL though.

Don't worry about the low limits. I started at 400 but in 11 months it went to 2400. So as you can see it grows very quickly, Now I just have to sit and wait till they offer me the Discover.

Just got my FIRST CLI!!!!! Went from $400 to $550....... Ugh!!!! I've had this card since October!!!!! & it wasn't even an auto-CLI!!!!!! Not liking this pattern......... :smileymad:

Maybe baddies or income? My income is not that great but my TU FICO is 765. I have had my wally card since August 11 and it went from 400-700-1400-2400. Only the first CLI was an auto the rest were all me. I request a CLI every 1-2 months and get denied a lot too. Never a hard inq so I don't care. Just hang in there!!!

It seems to me that your store cards are harming your CR. I have heard that one should not open more than 2 store cards as exceeding this shows an increased risk factor to lenders. Maybe try closing some of the newer store accounts and apping for a prime card?

no store accounts are not hurting his CLI chances, I have 6 store cards on my credit report they don't penalize you for having lots of store cards, what is causing the issue is the low limits on accounts highest limit showing is $1000 GE doesn't want to be your highest limit after 9 months. Your short history with the card. Perhaps low usage of the card can't tell from the informaion availible. Keep using the card wait another 4 months and request another CLI. Stay in the garden, try for CLI that are possible with a soft pull. I would advise against applying for any prime cards because they will come with a low limits based on what limits you have. When your score is 680+ and your hard limit on the ZYNC is removed and UTL under 9% try for an AMEX revolver they trippled my highest CL at the time I had a 720 Fico at the time.

Wallet: AMEX Blue 6k, AMEX Zync NPSL, Omaha First DISC 6k, Chase Freedom 3k, CapOne Platinum 2k, CapOne Rewards 750, Home Depot (citi) 4k, Amazon 2250 (since 4/11 started at 600), Walmart 1700 (since 11/11 started at 900) 3 more store cards limits 500-750, Target Red $200.
