OMG NO WAY Discover!!!!!

I just apped for a Discover Motiva Card and my heart was pounding while the website was processing my app and it came back and said approved!!! I just about passed out when i saw that! I called 1-800-Discover to find out the limit and a very nice lady in Delaware transfered me to a guy in new accounts and said my limit is $1,000 and in 4 to 6 days i'll have my card!!! OMG i can't believe this!! I'm still shaking!! I should have stayed in the garden but i just couldn't help myself and it paid off! Now my plans have changed. If you have seen earleir i wanted to wait while some inquaries fall of and get a barclays but i don't think that is what i want to do. for right now i will "sock drawer" my capital one, and as you may have seen earlier i just got my Amazon Store card from 500 to 800 so i'm gonna keep that "in the sock drawer" as well. I can't believe this i have started from zero and now i have good enough credit to have 6 cards including Discover! OMG!!! :smileylol: maybe when my BOA Secured Card graduated next July they will see how hard i've worked and give me a generious limit! I'm deffidently gonna stay in the garden and try so hard to resist all temptations to app for the next 2 years at least cuz i have too many cards. I will still see if i can get Capital One to waive annual fees so i can keep it open, then later close it since Discover makes up for it. I'm in primeville now for sure! I owe it all to you guys on this forum! I couldn't have done it without you! Thanks!!! :smileylol:

I was nervous as well when I app'd for Discover last monday and absolutely THRILLED when I got the approval for $1500.

Hopefully my card will be here tomorrow. I can't wait!

Do they auto increase by any chance? Since i have plenty of available credit for now, i don't want to spook Discover by calling them later sometime next year or something and asking for an increase. I also don't want to spook anyone else. I fear that Capital One, GE, Bank of America or even Disover could review my credit file and see i have alot of accounts in a short time and decide to close an account, so i'm gonna resist the urge to app and be careful with the credit i use, so i don't spook anyone! I'm still shaking from the approval... lol & i'm kinda paranoid right now i guess. lol

I have know idea, i have like 20 inquaries on Transunion so they either are not inquary sensitive or they pulled Equifax or Experian. If they pulled Experian i would be surprised as i just found out that some of my personal information on my experian report is wrong which could possibably cause a problem when applying for credit. I have a dispute letter for experian typed up and i am going the the post office tomorrow morning and sending it out through over night mail with delivery confirm since i am sending personal information out in the mail. I have to send a letter as calling them is not an option for me since their hours are not convient for me. I guess i'll know who they pulled when i get the card in the mail, or if credit karma sends me email alerting me of new inquaries for transunion. lol.

I'm sure it's EQ. Discover usually likes to pull EQ.

Congrats!!! I felt the same way when I apped on my phone earlier this month, and got immediate approval for my Motiva!!!!! Did you get the 15 mos 0% on bts and prchses?!!?! They told me no cli for six months, and they did pull eq for me here in Tx. You will get a letter telling you your EQ Fico.

Congrats again! Now remember what you had to do to get here and keep on keepin' on!!!
