Anyone have a JCB (Japan Credit Bureau) card?

How do you like it? Do you get any reactions from people who don't know what it is? I can't app because I live in Texas. Here are the cards available in the USA:

For anyone who does not know the card can be used at over 5.5 million merchants in the USA that accept Discover card.

I want the 3% on everything Marukai card so bad. You have to mail the app in though.

If JCB can be used anywhere where Discover is accepted, can Discover be used anywhere JCB is accepted?

Yes, you can use your Discover card anywhere JCB is accepted.

With Discover's partnership with JCB (Japan) and UnionPay (China), and no foreign transaction fee, Discover is a pretty good travel card if you are planning to travel to Asia.

Tell me that does not sound tempting. So if you spend only $5000 annual that's 3.2%($160) cashback and it only gets better once your in that 3% zone.

Correction, it can only be used at US retail store where Discover is accepted.

JCB-Discover alliance only covers retail acceptance (no mail order or online shopping), and only covers US portion.

Any foreign transaction fee? (since these cards are issued in the US) I have a Discover card though, so I guess I'm good on that for using it in Japan with no fee.

I'm just looking ahead since I might be going to grad school in the LA area where there are several Marukai stores. I shop at asian grocery stores a lot too so the Marukai card sounds like a good deal!

As long as they say they take JCB. An online store that doesnt mention JCB and only Discover will be unable to process it!

That is because Amazon explicitly says they take JCB.

In cases where one website takes Discover but makes no mention of JCB, JCB cannot be used. daybreakgonesXe sumed it up.
