topic What Will We Do When Credit Cards Become Non-Existent in Credit in the News

I know I love to get my new credit cards in the mail. I've even (no I'm not ashamed to say this) applied for cards because I wanted them for the way the look. I would never use a card that I thought was ugly. With that said I'll miss traditional credit cards when they leave. I was watching a new article on tv and they have been talking about cell phones as the new way to pay with your credit accounts. It's not here yet, but it's coming. A few weeks before the TV segment, I was in line at Starbucks and the car in front of me paid by handing the woman at the window her phone.

Here is a link to an article but there are many more just google: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13970_7-20032840-78.html

Oh how I don't want to loose my beautiful credit card collection and put at virtually into my mobile phone!! What about you......??

I'm not sure if mobile phone payments will ever really take off. Who wants to hand their $500 phone over when buying something? Plus I'm not sure how secure of a payment system it will be or if someone will figure out how to hack your mobile phone. It feels too risky to me.

I don't see the physical cards going away any time soon. There are still plenty of people who don't even have smart phones.

this is the same concept with carrying cash.

after so many years its hasn't gone away yet (not that it won't someday)
