Congrats MissHopeful! You will definitely see more improvement as your good tradelines age...

@mwmiller82: You should definitely do PFD (pay for delete) for those. Tell them you will pay the amount you plan to if they will remove them from your report. Get this in writing.

At the end of February my score was 480. Today I got the scorewatch alert that my score is 617. I am so excited. Thank you to this forum for the guidance I got all the collections off my reports. Now I just have a few debts that were included in bakruptcy and my bankruptcy reporting.

I am so excited. I just needed to share this with you!

Hurray for you! That is a nice jump. I bet it feels reeeeeeeeal good right now. Keep up the rebuilding. You are starting to see the fruits of your labors.

617 is WAY better than 480. Not too far off from mortgage-ville.

That's a spectacular jump for a few months. Good on you. Keep in mind, that the agencies might also lower your score a bit the next time you pull. Credit cards scores are so momentary and are created on the fly whenever they are requested. You MAY see a small decrease or no change the next time, don't be too concerned. Keep you eye focused on the long term (1+ years).

I'm just wondering where my score could be next year!

You can use the score simulator to see what your score will be like if you make payments on time for 12 months, I think that's one of the options.

I love this forum too.. I started at a 605 in March, but, I've already dragged it up to a 655. I'm really hoping to clear 680 when all my cards report $0 balances in a few days. 655 was with every card reporting a balance! lol

I'm curious what the credit boost is once all new accounts are a year old. I think you have a few new accounts too right? I'm looking forward to that score increase myself.

YEa I have several new accounts so now I'm going to garden them. My utilization is high right now too and I'm getting my stuff paid down too. My bankruptcy was discharged in December so I think I'm doing good so far. Good luck I'm sure your score will go up too!

I'm new here, What did you do to raise it so quickly? I have a 3 collection account which 2 of the 3 I am disputing, but am thinking on just paying them off next week to get them out of the way, but at the same time should I ask them to delete it after I pay?

It's really kinda up to kindness for them to do this after everything has already been paid off, but you should give them a shot. Don't get discouraged if they don't work at first. I've managed to get about 9 collections off of my report learning about this on myfico :smileyhappy:
