I just tried, it's working fine for me. Do you see the "compose new message" tab ?

Have you used it before your failed attempt? I only ask because there are settings that have to be correct. You have to have PM's turned on.

Update: K_J has sent me a PM this morning so it's working now. If anyone else has this problem, please let me know.
