Preapproval letter!!!

After being denied a preapproval by NVR Mortgage, the mortgage arm of Ryan Homes, we went just to talk to a Suntrust Mortgage rep and ended up leaving with a preapproval letter! She also deeply explained the NVR Mortgage sheet of fee's we were given and basically explained to us in normal people English that we were getting ripped off and would have to come up with way more money than they were telling us on the front end. So be aware people of NVR Mortgage!

Can you share why NVR denied you? I am meeting the loan officer on Tuesday and I don't know what to expect.

NVR denied us because my wife's mid score was too low. They never informed us that I could apply for the loan by myself. We then went to SunTrust here and the LO gave me an approval letter on the spot and didn't even pull credit. NVR quickly changed their tune after that and stated that they could get us approved as well.

Congrats on the pre-approval! Suntrust has treated us well in the past and glad they are working with you. :)
