The estimated completion date per EQ is 3/23/12 (Friday), but the dispute still says pending. The 30 days expires on 3/28/12. I have daily monitoring and my scores did not start increasing until 3/24/12 (Sat) and that is also when the remarks changed to "Customer disputes this account" from "Customer disputes-reinvestigation in progress"

The initial 100 reflected Sat w/ 668 & 661. Could my score have gone up another 100 points for a lowered UTIL and a PFD? thx!

UHHHHH!! I just want to cry now because I have no idea what my true score will actually be.

I posted this in the FICO forum but not to many answers.

Score started at EQ 568, TU 555 from MYFICO. I disputed a 30, 60 & 90 day late from HSBC on 2/28 almost a month ago which is still pending. I get a FACO alert from the Equifax site on Saturday 3/24 (My job provides us free monitoring) that I had a change it had my score at 699. So that same day (3/24) I purchased both my scores on MYFICO EQ 668, TU 661, my dispute was scheduled to be completed on 3/23, so the flag was removed in the account and the remarks changed from Customer disputes-reinvestigation in process to Customer disputes this information.

So today I get a FACO alert from Equifax that a change occured, I PFD'd a $50 collection that fell off and the UTIL on one of my CC dropped to 7% that score is 729. I purchased MYFICO scores EQ 763 and TU 721, I also went to Walmart's TU score which is 717.

What is going on? Since the dispute is past the completion date should I demand the lates be deleted? Are these all fake scores? Is it just coincidence that the remarks changed on the same day that the dispute was due for completion? Even though Equifax site is a FACO, my score did not change at all after the dispute was initiated, but the change occurred when the dispute went past the deadline. Please HELP!

Your MyFICO scores are genuine, sooo if the dispute is over, I'd probably get the party started. :D We'll see how the regs weigh-in, though..

To be completely honest, things are still in dispute (as i see it)....

When things are disputed, they are removed from your scoring method.

What this means, is that your score could potentially be rediculously high!

Most lenders will not give credit if you have disputes going....

I would give it at least another month for everything to settle down to really get a grasp of your scores. Along the lines of the disputes being no longer disputer (or deleted)

When you dispute items, they are removed from the score calculation. That can raise or lower your score depending on what remains on your report.

However, the score doesn't matter because you won't qualify for anything substantial while you have items in dispute.

I think you are supposed to have a dispute resolved 30 days from when it is filed. When did you file it? If it has been 30 days since you filed it, and the CRAs haven't asked for more information (which would add more time to the 30 days), then I would contact the CRAs and find out why the dispute isn't settled.

Those scores ARE inflated if these accounts are in dispute because all of those derogs are not being scored. However, they might end up being accurate if it is past the dispute resolution deadline....

Yes, your score can increase by lowering the balances on CC.

PFD's-----if a CA is deleted, then yes a score can increase.

Collections hurt less and less as time goes on.

So a recent debt with a CA,if deleted can see a higher increase in score, then with an older debt with a CA.

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to followup on how it all worked out after the disputes ended. We had a mortgage seminar at work from BOA who offered free preapprovals, so he pulled these scores

EQ - 763

TU (04) - 715, on MYFICO its 728

EXP - 679

I'm happy with these scores, all the CO's have been removed, UTIL is at 7% and HSBC removed 1 of the 3 lates but will not budge on the others. EXP is still reporting a pd charge off from 2002, I disputed it but they won't remove it, that is why the score is in the 600's. NO MORE DISPUTES for me, now I have work on the "Account disputed by customer" narrative that HSBC so kindly left.
