LVNV Funding success!!

Filed a BBB complaint and they agreed to delete the entire tradeline with tips that I used from the myfico forums!! Made my day. Now, I have to continue to tackle my other baddies that are taking a little bit more time to get off. Thanks everyone :-)

Congrats!! When did you file your complaint with BBB and how long did it take for you to receive a

response?

Just curious, I just filed one on 04/13/2012 regarding LVNV as well.

It took about 2 weeks before I got a response from the BBB with LVNV's answer to my complaint, I then rejected it immediately and a few days later got another response that it was being deleted.

It took about two weeks to receive a response. A very simple process. I wish it was always so simple.

Just wondering...what is going on with lvnv? I have one on my credit that is paid and wondering if I an actually get it deleted...Thanks and congrats on getting yours deleted!

they were inaccurately and illegally reporting on my CR. That's basically what I put in my complaint. They are known as a shady company so Im sure the BBB is used to getting complaints about them. I would check your CR and verify they are reporting valid info. They tend reage accounts as well

They responded through the BBB showing their documents that shows they purchased the account. I replied saying I am not looking for proof they own it, I am looking for proof the debt is mine. The quickly deleted it after that. I knew the debt was mine but I didnt want to deal with them, I wanted to deal with the OC. So by getting them to remove it and send it back to the OC I was then able to do a PFD with the OC and both are off my report.

I did the same, since they showed up on my CRs with no dunning. Response through the BBB stated they are closing the account, wiping out the balance to 0, and no longer reporting to the CRBs with the account, but it has not come off my reports yet. I pull obsessively from EQ and it still shows with a balance of $651. But I guess I have to wait as they have up to 45 days to delete and this in only about 20+ days in.

It should come off in the near future. Mine took 19 days. They also state the only report on the 10th and 20th of the month, so they could have pushed it a little longer..

I believe it will fall off soon, it did for me! :)

I am having the same problem with LVNV. I can't get them to validate my debt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I decided to go the BBB route as well since the debt they purchased was $127 and the debt they came at me with was $446. I also don't recall receiving any dunning notice from them. We'll see what comes of it.

Credit One Bank was the OC, which the interesting thing from my research is owned by Sherman Financial who also owns LVNV.

On another note, when they first replied to my BBB complaint I remember them saying the reason for not validating the debt was that in my validation letter I included a C&D which they took to me not to contact me at all for anything.

I recieved my letter from the BBB today stating that they were deleting!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can't sop smiling. It took about 2week to respond. My advice is to make sure you dispute in the state of South Carolina. The Houston office never took my certified mail and im still waiting to get the results back from the BBB i filed with Texas for LVNV also. My OC was Capitol One....LVNV is a tough and didn't send or respond to any letters that I sent. They should up on my CR in August 2011 and im just getting them to agree to remove it. I never called them of course.
