Now to fix wife's report

Well I have mine almost done now on to wife's it took me 2 years to fix all my stuff now I feel like IM starting all over again "witch I am" ugh

any help I can get would be great. I filled out what I thought was relevant but if any more info is needed I can add it. Thank you everyone for the info I have gotten so far IM hopeing I can get her stuff straight too looking to buy a house in two years so I have to start now I know I have to pay them I just want to know the best route to go about it. I've sent 2 pfd for the 100 and 52 dollar accts its going to have to be like 1 a month till there all gone but just feel a little lost starting over again.

The Universal Collections you could try and get them all packed together and try for a payment plan for a PFD.

Apollo group you could try to settle with a PFD, offer them half or something like that. See what they counter.

The other 2 are low amounts, keep trying for the Pfds.

I was thinking about asking them to group them together. But I wanted to wait till I had the money to pay in full its like 1100.00+ just a little tough to save that kind of money when IM already paying the judgment and all house hold related bills. I really don't want to start a payment plan because it can do more harm than good if I miss a payment. IM waiting to see if the PFD come back I already have the money orders purchased to send them as soon as I get there response. I also think I have to pay in full for the Apollo because she wants to go back and finish her program with them IM a little skeptical though Not sure if they will even let her start again because of flunking out. I have to pay it either way but I hope they will let her back in after I pay it off

Very good planning on your part. I would also wait till I had the money all accounted for before making a deal. And when you do, see if they will cut you a deal. Wouldn't hurt to try and save a little money to put down toward the next bill. Good luck.

after sending PFD to north american and r&r got no responce from either. wife called both this morning and was told they dont pfd. they are both for medical bills 1 for her and 1 for my daughter.

my question is what to do now..

i have looked up hipaa process and cant find anything that will point me in the right direction unsure what to do now.

They all say they don't PFD and yet they do. Offer it again!

my wife got ahold of the OC and is paying the 52.00 directly to them. they arent listed on her report just r&r. after payment can i just dispute r&r to get it removed

No.

Payment or lack of payment of the debt does not affect the fact of delinquencies and derogs that occur along the way, and is not a basis for deletion.

In fact, just the opposite is true. The CRAs have instructions in their credit reporting manual that information is not to be deleted based upon payment of the debt.

Refusal of a creditor or debt collector to decline a PFD offer is thus actually compliance with their reporting obligation.

They will usually establish an official policy of no deletions to show compliance with the CRA policy. Underlings usually dont have authority to grant exceptions.

Ergo, many PFDs will simply be refused until such time as the offer gets to the desk of a management official authorized to grant any exceptions to their standard policy.

if its not going to come off should I just have her not pay it? I mean if its not going to help her report I dont see any reason to pay it.

she talked to a rep at american radiology and the said no to the pfd but the will update it to show paid in full.

+1 They are required by law to report accurate information, however they are not required by law to report any information at all. That is to their discretion.

Payment to the OC will not require the CA to stop their reporting to the TL. You can ask the OC to try and pull it back, but that is an agreement between the OC and the CA, not a requirement.

I've got a little money to send off for either the judgment or the 4 UNIV SVCS accounts and they said they WILL PDF if I pay a extra $50 to delete all 4 of them. What will help her credit more.

1) call lawyer to see if they will vacate. Judgment was for not showing up at court but she never got served was old address. And the job she had delivering papers at night. She got into accident her "company van" and job told insurance she wasn't covered so the ins company sued her.

2) call univ collections and have those four accounts PFD. But... They wont send a PFD letter. Rep said just pay the extra $ and we will remove it in 48hrs? I know I want it in writing. Wife and my self have argued with them bout the letter and they will NOT send it.

Tough situation you have there. My "personal" opinion would be to take the offere. It's a $50 gamble to take them at their word to remove 4 negatives off you're report. That's $12.50 for each. I've spent more on that on stamps for GWs. YMMV of course, but might be worth the risk. Good Luck

just paid univ collections ALL 4 accounts in full plus the $50 they wanted for them to expunge it. is what they called it basically a PFD. went to there office and PIF but still wouldent give it to me in writing but she said they will be off the reports in 48hrs.

Excellent, don't worry about the score, especially from CK. Just keep cleaning up that credit, the scores will come. Do you have any revolving accts?
