No, Going I didn't find a different lender. I still have the 18% interest rate for 5 years but I plan on paying it off in 3 to 3 1/2. Keeping it for 6 months to a year then getting what I really want. My credit will be up to par by then. Either paid off or fell off. And Cabar, you know, I hadn't even though about this car, until I got to the lot and saw it. I am happy with my purchase. It will serve it's purpose and I'll look good in it. :smileytongue:

Message Edited by tri3nity on 12-13-2008 07:36 PM

The credit limit is dependent on what you spend and how you pay, I found out too late. I made 1 purchase for some diamond studs, paid it off in 6 months. I have a regular charge card with no down payment, but the catch is they lowered my credit limit. Had I made a more expensive purchase and took longer to pay it off, then I possibly would have received a $1500 to $2500 cl.

And since their already charged off,

if they don't agree to a pfd, should I just settle since it will still reflect the same. Then just goodwill them to death, maybe? And if I settle, will they still fall off the same dates? I will pif all of those less than a thousand and settle the other 2. Thanks for your help Sidewinder.

Ok, I just finished reading Sidewinder's post "What steps do I take?" I have just been approved for a car loan (a small one) but a start no doubt. I have a paid off car loan for 03' and then back doored with a repo in 05 that is scheduled to fall off in Dec. 2011 on Experian and March of 2012 on Transunion and Equifax, Why the different drop off dates? Ok anyway, I will be in a better position to begin some credit gardening. Everything in 2011 scheduled to fall off I'm just going to leave alone, let them be. These that I list below are scheduled to stay on from 2012 to 2014 and I need some advice. If I settle them, will that start the sol over for another 7 years or should I just go ahead and DV and then PFD. Thanks in advance for any feedback you guys can offer.

AFNI original creditor Sprint...$582 11/2013

Arrow Financial Service original creditor....Premiere (sold) ....$606 12/2012

NCO original creditor Reliant Energy.... $486 11/2012

New Millenium Bank ....$207 11/2013

Personal Collectors of America original creditor .....Galaxy Furniture $1652 6/2012

Plains Commerce Bank .....$491 5/2013

Southwest Recovery .....
The limit I have seen depends on how much you owe. I had a small balance so my starting limit was only $300. You pay the qualifying amount and then I got the card about 3 weeks after that. I have seen on some discussions people starting with as much as $1000 limits. And no, they didn't run my credit.

I know this is a month old post, but I had to put my two cents in. I had my concerns about Jefferson Capital Systems as well. I am actually pretty satisfied with them. I completed the arrangement, there is no annual fee on the card and it gets regular credit limit increases. And the sol did not reset, the old debt fell off all 3 reports completely and JCS falls off in May of 09, the same month the OC was scheduled to fall off. Hope this helps if you haven't already made a decision.

Yeah, Going, I am not "going" to do that. I don't want to finance anything over what I have to. Roadloans has a minimum of $6000 and that's what I'm trying to finance. The repo falls off in 2011, I will have that gone and a paid off vehicle with a current car loan. I can wait 2 years, if I even want another car in 2 years, may just refi. The G6 is actually kinda hot! :smileytongue:

That's the plan Keep. I found a little 07' G6 for $10,900 and I've applied for the downpayment assistance program that Texas has to assist with purchasing a car in return for giving them your car that is 10 years or older or won't pass for inspection. When I used a financial calculator with all the info (I plan on haggling to get the car down to about $9,500 - $10,000 :smileytongue:) then give them the $3000 voucher, it gave me a car payment of $186. I will pay around $250 - $300 so that I won't end up upside down when I trade it or not have so much to refinance at a lower interest rate in about a year or two. What do you think, sound like a plan?

I was approved through Roadloans, but at the price of 18% financing with a $2500 required down payment and they only approved me for $8600. SUcks! But I have to start somewhere. I have a repo on my credit from 2005. My plan was to keep the cash car that I bought until the wheels fell off or my scores improves and the repo fell off, whichever came 1st. Well, the wheels fell off, or rather someone rear ended me and knocked them off. Somebody help! Any suggestions on another company I could try. Lending Tree referred me to road loans as well.

Thanks James, we couldn't get an anwer from anyone that had the card for longer than 6 months. We shall see on my statement update on the 6th. I did see on the site that your credit limit after the six months is determined by your average spending habits and payment amount within that six months. $500 would be the lowest credit limit.
