I can't believe I didn't update this back in January, but my TU FICO went to 715!

I have moved recently, and my CC balances have been creeping up on me. I am working to pay them off within the next three months, and at that time I will pull new scores.

See my first post on the first page, which has been updated with new info. My two PR's have fallen off all three reports, and I expect both FICO's to be above 720 after my CC balances are back to 1% utilization.

New score was supposed to arrive on 12/18/10.

Normally it takes a few hours into the the next day (usually before 2am) for my score to arrive, but it hasn't happened this time...

Perhaps because today is Sunday?

First post edited/updated! Check it out!

I have had to scale back the extra payments on my car. I had Lasik in April and moved in July, so that has eaten up a good chunk of change. I am replenishing my emergency fund, and then I will be back on the attack!

I am considering checking my EQ Fico today... it's been at 638 for about a thousand years now.

I know I owe this journal an update, and I'll try to do that this week (we're in the middle of moving), but I just wanted to pop in and say that I got a CL increase on my Target Card, from $200 to $1,000! I must have heard a million times that Target just doesn't do CL increases, and I certainly didn't expect one or ask for one. Good news!

Thanks guys!

#1 I contacted NelNet, who directed me to GC Services, who set up the rehab program. Then my loans were picked up by Sallie Mae after rehab.

#2 I paid the OC.

Myfico.com got rid of all the good info on how to get these removed. I've found that persistence is the key, and a little bit of dumb luck. But I remember hearing what you're saying, that if you pay the CA, it won't work. Then you just have to GW the crap out of the CA.

I want to hit 680 for both EQ and TU.

My Cap1 Card and Target card will hit 1 year in March. My BoA card will hit 6 years in May.

My $9,500 car loan (not that it helps much scorewise) that I stared last April should be close to paid off, at least less than 10% util by 2011.

I'll have my last student loan rehabbed in March or April, so I'll gain some age when that gets picked up, and I'll say goodbye to the CO account.

My AAoA should be at 6 years by the end of this year.

Getting through April will get rid of ALL my inquiries for all three bureaus.

See my journal below for the full story. :)

I called a few minutes ago to cancel my Scorewatch subscription. I'm to the point in my credit repair where I only need to see my FICO score once or twice a year. I've been getting billed between the 18th and 20th of every month, so I called today figuring I had timed it right.

I went through the process of canceling the subscription, and I asked the rep to confirm that I had called in time to not be charged for an additional month.

She replied, "Yes, it renews on the 15th, so you've already been billed." So I said, "Wait, I've already paid through the 14th of NEXT month, and you didn't think to mention that to me as I was canceling?" She replied, "Sorry, we do not offer refunds on monthly subscriptions."

Wow.

It's only $7.16, but the principal is enough of a reason for me to not buy scores through MyFico.com again if thats how they treat customers.

Pull your FICO's from here and see where you stand, that will give you a much clearer picture.

AWESOME job on getting your debt paid down though, especially in this economy! :) :) :)

thanks!

that first large increase came when 5 of my student loans were rehabilitated (which made the 5 collection accounts from the guarantor disappear).

That second medium increase came from bringing my revolving utilization from 95% to 8%, (my FICOs went to 627 EQ and 622 TU then) and its now at <1% every month.

Since then I've only had small increases (627 to 638 EQ and 622 to 644 TU), but 4 years from today I will be celebrating a flawless report and I will be 100% debt free. :)

Message Edited by PayingTheBills on 10-21-2009 11:45 PM
