Hills Slack Settlement Question

Has anyone gotten a letter from Hills Slack Settlement? I have received my code and read where I would not have to furnish Equifax with my CC # and there was no strings attached. I went on like my paper said and followed the steps but they keep asking for a CC. I called Equifax and spoke to a manager he said he needed the CC before he could give me my 3 months free. I read the papers to him and told him there was a link on EQ website to the Hills Slack Settlement and he could read it right off there. He ask me to fax him my papers and I did but no response what should I do. I dont want to give them my CC info.

I would first contact the Courthouse where the judgement was made and find out from them if it is still there since you have a release letter and request they have it removed. I would also find a number or email address for someone higher up in the CRA and send them your information and see what they can do.

Have you tried to dispute it as not yours if you did and it was verified did you MOV the CB? If you already did this then I would try sending them a copy of your letter of release.IMO anyway.

I would sent Them a PFD letter and state you are willing to pay in full only if they delete. I would not pay in full or settlement and then try to dispute that might backfire unless you wait a few months after you paid it but remember if you settle some CA have been know to sell the remaining balance. I would try to get them to put it in writing that they will not be allowed to do that under your agreement to settle

I have a fraud alert on my CR's because I had joined the Disney Club to buy movies and one of their employees sold my CC and Personal information. Well I have a letter from them and sent copies to all 3 CB but they still just let people pull it. I am with a CU now and have just spoke to them about getting help to pay off the collections and CC all into one. She told me to fax over the app and she would see if their CC or Loan would work the best for me and she also mentioned refieing our car loan to a lower intrest rate as well. Man they are great. I hope she can help me.

Call the IRS and ask for a supervisor or try to google the information. You may find an address there or maybe you could check with your local tax dept to see.

Thank you for your input. I can use alot of help again. The Collections that were removed were ones I paid in full and they had them removed. The 3 new ones are more hospital bills I was not aware of. I have a letter from the hospital stating that my balance with them is -0- and that is who 2 of the Collections are with. now it looks like fico is going to change things. I can not get any other CC as I have a ton of Inquiries on my report. I write down everyone I apply with and can only count for 13 of the 50 and quite a few of them used my moms address and several have used previous addresses so I know they are not mine.

I am trying I had done so well but now I am back where I started. I had all the Collections on our reports paid off and removed. I got us new CC and Auto loans. Now I find 3 more CO on my report. All I had before was Presidio which was due to fall off in 2008 by the way they turned it over to MCM I think it is and now they are on my report looking new. By the way I disputed because I have never received anything from them in writing. I am an AU on my husbands Hooters card but its new so no big deal and the only reason for this is because I am the only one who sends out the payments for our bills.

PFD = Pay for delete letter.

You should never never ever talk to a CA over the phone and always get things in writing. They may not be interested in doing this now since you made a payment and it started your SOL all over again. Now if you default on the agreement you made to pay this off they can sue you.

If you dont have any credit at all is your score like 0 or what. Once you get a CC or loan of some sort how low will your score start out if you dont have one right now?

Dont you have to be a member of the CU in order to get a CC from them. I know he is not a member of any right now. He will have to wait until Oct when he returns home. Yes honey I am on here too.

That would figure since NC is 3yrs on writen and MN is 6yrs for everything. so do I go by the date of last payment I made or the date the Van was sold

Which state would I go by MN where we bought the Van or NC where I have lived the last 4 years. The SOL is longer in MN I think.

Sorry, The reason I ask is because they did the Repo here in NC.
