I just got my renewal and was shocked at the price.. Guess I hadn't been paying attention to any increase notices. I will keep it until next renewal and have already called to set up the non-renew for next year. Wow...I may rethink that depending on the prices elsewhere...

I think she is saying the bill was due on the 2nd..she (maybe he) paid in on the 2nd and was charged a late fee. Probably didn't post until the 3rd. I actually had this happen to me in the past. Lesson learned.

I've had HBSC and CapOne cards. I could never get a CLI, but they kept giving me more cards. At one point, I had three of each. They were all cancelled after I found myfico.com and "fixed" my credit and got better cards. Now the limit on one of my cards is way more than the limit I had on all six of those cards combined.

Score Watch seems to work for me though it's a bit slow. For instance I had a new inquiry on Monday and haven't received an alert as of yet. However, I did receive an alert yesteday on my American Express Credit Secure.

One of my co-workers was diagnosed with swine-flu. Management has provided masks and gloves for us to wear. They have also purchased cleaning products such as clorox wipes and lysol for us to use since we share desks in a 24/7 operation.

I actually tried to make a payment on Friday and the system would not allow it since my statement balance last time was $0. I usually push the payment through my BOA bill pay but didn't this time. I wanted the payment to post yesterday since my statement closed yesterday. I even called and begged the rep to take a payment and he wouldn't. He told me to overnight a check. Never mind. Statement dropped today so I went ahead and paid it. From now on I'll be on auto-pay through BOA. I've only been using the card for my creditsecure.com charges.

Worldpoints Mastercard. It is a silver card. The new one is black and says World Mastercard.

Also, the rep asked why I didn't use the card more often and told me I had a balance transfer offer of 3.9%. I told him I have cards with lower transfer rates. So I just logged into my account and now have a balance transfer offer of 0.99%.

BOA Card Upgrade?

Today I received a replacement "upgrade" card for my Worldpoints card which I got in 2007. The old card doesn't expire till 7/10 so I was a little confused. I call and was told it was an upgrade to a card with no pre-set spending limit. The rep assured me that my old credit limit will still appear on my credit reports, but said there is no limit per se. Has this happened to anyone else?

Totally irritating co-workers...

Does anybody have any? I have a ton of them. I take great care to keep these folks out of my business because I hear how they talk about each other. Talk about a competition to see who can get the biggest house, the best cars, the most junk, the most wonderful kids. Wow..

Anyway, yesterday a co-worker told me one of my tires was bad, showing "material". Ok, so I went out and checked it and indeed I have one tire that needs to be replaced. I appreciate him alerting me and the rest of the office. So since I am on night shift this week, and a total total crank useless person on night shift, last night I left said Blazer in the garage - since I got paranoid about the thing blowing out. I was fine when I didn't know...but since I knew I left it and drove my car to work.

Well, about 2am one of the guys looked out the window and asked what I drove to work since my Blazer was not in the parking lot. I didn't answer so he again asked if I was driving a little silver car. I told him yes it is my car. I have had this car since the 1st of the year and just never driven it to work. So he proceeds to ask what it is, when I got it and why I didn't tell anybody I had a Volvo...I had to laugh because he asked what it was and then told me it was a Volvo. So I told him I didn't no I had an obligation to tell anybody anything and he got mad attitude and continued to question me. Why haven't you driven it here before? When did you get it again? Why didn't you tell anybody? I told him because it ain't nobody's business and he looked so offended.

I had a flashback to a couple months ago when another co-worker who usually drives a 1992 Honda to work drove his wife's mini-van to work and got questioned to death. Why didn't you tell anybody you had a brand new mini van?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, this coming from a guy who tells all. Just last week bought a $6500 jetski, 3 new big screen televisions, new cell phones for the family (4) and a new laptop for the family and is leaving for a two week vacation in Chicago. Also has two mortgages and a wife with no job, a teenager, and a college student. I only know all this cuz he tells all. I know this was long, but it all irritated me. Me and my co-workers ain't that tight that they should expect I tell them anything and he aint the only one, there are at least a dozen of them. Competing for the best houses, the best cars... Anybody else got co-workers like this? Just venting.

No care in the world and no guilt for building debt is definitely different from not being able to pay or having no control over spending. It is stealing with intent. The word pathological liar comes to mind. Yea you don't need that. But it is hard to meet people, anybody these days and there are more and more single people out there. Maybe not out there but single yes. I don't know where they hide? Being afraid of being alone can prevent you from meeting someone believe it or not. I don't know why it's so hard to find good people. I lost hope and decided to remain single and just went out for years to have fun and lost all desire to meet anyone. By random chance meeting a new friend on Myspace with no intent of anything something clicked after a while. Dating 4 years now. So like me someone is out there just probably fed up with looking for someone nice. The joke was there are so many pretty faces but deep in side goodness is really hard to find. Nice people yes but a true goodness thats rare. That's what I look for in people. It wasn't until last year that she saw my credit report. I was hiding it. ;)

I call taking out several secret loans and never paying a dime on any of them = intent to steal. I didn't know about them till he was long gone and I pulled his credit report due to all the collection notices coming in the mail. The last time we spoke (over a year and a half ago), I asked him about these late payment notices that kept arriving, and he swore he had no idea what they were for. Liar.

Now mind you I'm not saying that I've always had the greatest credit scores, but I paid my bills on time (well except my disputed account with Sprint. I just didn't know how to play the game until I found this site. Utilization on my itty bitty Cap1 cards was killing me. I had no idea about this stuff...

Nah. don't go to bars or the like. Met the first one through friends (lol, I might want to get new friends).

The other I had known for many years as just a friend and by all appearances seemed to have his stuff together. Appearances are deceiving. Easy to wine and dine when you're not paying any bills.

I put quotes around "fear" more to say it's just a realization I have come to not that I really fear. My point is that I can't believe so many people just don't care about their situations (and these folks showed absolutely no interest in fixing their situations or even maybe getting a part time job to help themselves) and expect somebody to bail them out. And I truly find it interesting that these same people can ask for monetary assistance, but turn down free help to repair their own credit which would enable them to be more self-sufficient.

I've learned some things like I can check to see if they are paying child support or are five years in arrears. Background checks all around cuz man can folks lie.

This is the part that really bothered me. I felt it was like "pay this for me so it doesn't get cut off". Not interested in the rest. If he had said he was concerned...different story.

I "fear" I will be a lonely old woman...:smileymad: I have not too long ago been divorced from a man who had no care in the world to when or if bills got paid. Could care less about credit just a mess. Didn't know all of this before..came to light after stupid me said "I do". Anyway, you can imagine the disputes we had when his always broke self always told me to "just pay it late". Mind you, I never did, but always swore to be just as broke as he. We has a joint checking account for about 30 days until I saw he kept withdrawing and never depositing and his care note people were always calling. Claimed to be paying child support which sucked up all his money, which I found out later..he hadn't paid in over five years...*sigh**Started out with two kids, turned out to be at least four. Never paid a single darn bill here so where did the money go? Anyway...put his behind out..filed for divorce..final...cool beans. Found out after I put him out his car had been repo'd and he had been taking out loans without my knowledge while we were married...wth?

Next drama.

Dated a very nice guy...but always (in every conversation) talking about how broke he was. "Baby, can you help me with......". Asked him about his credit and credit reports, and he told me he didn't care. End of story. Won't deal with that again.

Not saying I am perfect and I'm still working on me and my credit..All my scores are in the mid 700's and I want them to stay there or go up!! Am I just destined to meet men that are broke and don't care?

Just my thoughts this morning.
