Hello friends,

I'm looking into this card. I have a score of 664 and 654 from transunion and equifax, respectively. Also a fico score of 680 from walmart. I have one inquiry in the last 12 months. I have a few baddies, but it was 3 years a go and no lates in that same time frame. Utility is 29 percent. What are my chances?

I want to apply for this card, but need some input from current amex blue cash card holders. What was your fico score at the time of applicaton and how high was your UTI? What CR did they pull? Thanks!

Walmart and Discover card

hello all,

I've had my walmart card for over a year now(13 months) and last month i was given an auto cli of $1000(from $900), so my cl is now $1900! i love it! my question is when do you all think i might get the offer to upgrade to discover? are there any trends i should look our for? is there any specific time frame i should expect an upgrade? i have used the walmart card heavy and sometimes PIF and sometimes just the minimum payment. Right is the UTI is at about 20%.

Should I call and ask for a cli even thou my uti is high? Cli is $1000, and I owe $900. Let me know what you think?

Discover initial CLI?

I've had my Discover for 6 months now and i want to request a CLI. i see the link on the sebsite to do so, but it says that it does work and to please call the 1-800 number. I need some input, should i wait and see if i can an auto or should i call and request? started with $1000 and a bump. thanks in advance!

Denied! It's ok, i'm happy with my Discover. Next year i'll try Amex instead.

I just applied for a bank of america credit card and got the "further processing is needed." Any idea on whether i was approved or not? i would say that i got denied. just wanted everyones opinion.

Noram Capital collection agency

Hi all,

Need some help here. I have an HSBC charge off(paid off) on my CR report by HSBC. I GW them and they reply by saying that they no longer own the accoutn and to contact Noram Capital for further processing. i don't understand, how is the collection agency going to delete the charge off, when HSBC is reporting the tradeline? what should i do?

Did they deny you for any branded card they have, or specifically for the regular Visa that you mentioned?

Denied for the regular visa card. i have two CO's, but all paid in full and about a year of re-establishing credit.

How many baddies do you have?

i have two Charge offs, one from Janurary of 2009(paid in full) and another from December of 2009(also paid in full). I started re-establishing credit, so i have about a year's worth of good credit.

Not necessarily. I'm no mortgage expert but I have read enough to know that paid collections and CO's will often not be a automatic denial for a mortgage depending on their age and what else is on your reports. You'll just need to check out different lenders and what their requirements are.

For scoring purposes all negatives will lose impact over time but a major derogatory such as a CO will continue to hurt for the entire period it can report. Have you tried GW letters trying to get these removed early? When is the DoFD on these CO's?

They are from January of 2009(DoFD). The accounts were sold, it was then that i paid them in full, nothing bad since. Yes, i just send the fisrst round of letters about three weeks a go and i haven't heard anything, yet. Should i try another round? Thanks Marine!
