I have student loans to pay off when I graduate and that is main priority, I'm not trying to miss payments on my loans due to a wedding. I'm not against weddings, but I feel like it should be traditional and if the parents can't afford it..go to the courthouse.

I'm currently in the process of fixing my credit... My credit report isn't really pretty ..I currently have 3 chargeoffs: Creditone (PIF through MCM), Military Star Card (PIF), and First Premier (Settled). and also 2 collections: MCM (PIF) and LCA Services ($70 Medical collection PIF), and late payments on my car payment (about 13 since I got it in 2010 and 08/12 was my last 30 day). I wanted to know is there anyway possible I could get to 700 with these items on my report. I have tried to get both CA to delete they said no multiple times. I currently have a USAA secured and I'm an AU on my gf's walmart store card.. my score could be a bit higher but my util is high and I'm paying it down. Is it possible just wondering ?

And the mcm and first premier accounts haven't updated the balance to $0 yet and according to myfico it's factored into my util.

Thanks in advance!

And the medical collection I have on file, I tried to get them to delete it, but they told me it was too late and if it was in collections under a year it would of been fine, but since it was over a year there wasn't anything they could do...So I kinda feel like I am stuck.

My most recent baddie was a 30 day late in August and a medical collection for 70 I paid in December.. Other than that 3 charge offs from 2009-2010 as of tomorrow all 3 will be paid off.. And no pfd, No one was willing to budge..even the medical collection agency told me they couldn't do it because it was too late and I had previously set up an arrangement and didnt follow through .. My fault I suppose.

If a company is doing an employment background check then they individually set the standard of the type of information they want. I work in a position which requires a government clearance so I had to submit to an evaluation of my life history for the past 10+ years. The civil judgments could be easily discovered if they are in the jurisdiction in which you currently reside. I can go to the county court website and find civil judgments with nothing more than my name. As to what if any effect their discovery would have on employment that is up to the individual employer. They can be used in most jurisdictions to garnish wages for repayment.

I worked for the government also. If they choose to get your entire credit file they can. I had them bring up things that happened almost 20 years ago.

Ehh..

Oo ok.. I noticed when I looked at both judgements the amount owed was not listed they both said unavailiable and listed the county court and court case number.. Could this possibly hurt my chances of getting an apartment in the long run even though it's not reporting on any of my credit reports ?
