over 25 views and not one answer as to what I should do next?

I need to obtain my DUNS number and when I go onto the D&B site it comes up with my biz details but misspelled company name by one letter... can I still register under that biz name and correct it once I am registered in the system? not a lot to ask this.

Hi all, I am new to the credit world and have a small business that I set up around 3-4 months back, not done much as I also am new to credit over here in this country and I am building my scores up in my personal credit first... been 7 months on that side of things... scores keep rising.. my goal is to give it another 2 months then hopefully apply for a small personal loan or biz loan to move my small concreting business forward.

My concern today is that when I went online to the D&B site to obtain my free duns number my business name appeared in their data base as incorectly spelled... there is a "N" there instead of an "M" easy mistake but I am unsure whether I should click on that name and continue the registration process.

I have had some mail come through under that misspelled name but usualy get the same mail resent with the correct name to, I have only 2 companies I have biz with and they are centruy link and cap1 biz cc... neither of them are spelled incorrectly so I don't know where the incorrectly spelled name comes from?

Anyway's I would like to know what to do now to rectify this mistake with D&B, Shoul I continue with the registration process online with D&B under the name they have and be able to change my biz name to the correct spelled one or not once registered?

Thanks in advance..

Ignore FAKO scores? all well and good ignoring them, I totaly agree there but when a loan company your applying with gives you your score back as fako one then were on earth do you stand if my fake score is not correct? I just cant sit back and not know what on earth is going on with experian scoring with my real score or the fake one can I now.

My fake "vantage" TU score just went up to 706 and I still have 3 cards to be updated any time now with all balances clear, so that should rise considerably albeit not worth the excitement unless my true FICO score goes up the same..lol

anyway's thanks to you all for trying to help.... ringing EX up in the morning even though my report has not come yet with the ref number...

When I started on the credit trip I applied for certain credit cards to get me started, you have to start somewhere... got plenty of refusals straight away which is expected is it not.

Must admit at the start I did apply for around 10 cards, 10 HP's there. when letters started to arrive I realized that with no history and no score creditors had a good enough reason to refuse me.

From the refusal letters I decided to contact TU as it appeared no one had any data with regards to my new ssn being authentic. after sending in all my details into TU I finaly was able to open an online account with them to view my new file and report. I did not do this with the other 2 beuraus as I thought that it would be done on its own.

After a month or so my score with TU was at the 718 mark. Great I thought now maybe I can get some approvals as I have some form of score that has been registered with the big boys. Applied for 6 more cards to which I was successful in gaining. There is another 6 HP's

Now I was on the road and thought that because I have a decent score I could get better cards with better limits..."yeah right" bitten there... and since then I learned that the score given was a FAKO one as non of my new credit accounts had reached the 6 month mark where then my true FICO score was generated.

So I have spent all that time applying under the pretence that I had a good enough score when indeed it was not true at all...

I have not applied for anything since then until recently as I have waited until one of my cards hit the 6 month mark(well 7 month infact) and thinking that my score should be at least in the FAIR to GOOD range of things by now.

I got an increase on my lowes card a few weeks.. refused at first but they gave me a little increase of an extra $200 to help pay for a generator due to hurricane Isaac coming through, I did not use this but got my limit increased to help build a bigger overal limit and lower utilization etc etc.

There is another HP... 17 there, with the 2 recent applications that's 19 in total... that's 12 that were unnecessary but I had to try to get off the ground.

What I am going to do now is get to the bottom of the score with EX to make sure nothing is wrong with them.. after this I do not intend in applying for anymore credit until pre approvals come to me... and I intend on finding a credit union that looks beyond a computer generated score. the HP's I feel can be justified to a CU as new to all of this...and mistakes were genuine enough.

As for mixing business with personal that is a no no with me... a personal loan to use for my business is not relevent at all... I have a small concrete business earning me a wage right now but I am not able to do the bigger work due to not having the tools and advertising etc. I have a new business cc that my wife got for our business but limit is to low to even mess around with @$1k. Great start for my business credit scoring at least along with the business phone I have had now for 5 months...we have over $8k combined CL's right now but dont use them as I need a loan that will more than cover all our business needs and cover payments on any CC's we end up using... this type of business is one that means one decent size job would mean all loans paid off immediately and some in the bank.... it is a no brainer of a business. I just wanted decent CC limits to show lenders I have the spending power there and don't abuse it nor appear to be desperate for it.

This is my problem SHOGUN, I have pulled my report from EX and everything is correct on there, however for some unknown reason I am not able to access my score online with them. the score they have given me through a lender is at 504 it has been at 504 since I started on the credit trip. 7 months and the score is no diff??? this is supposed to be a score plus so should not be so low compared to my advantage score with TU at 671... that should be over 700 next week as I dont have any balances now at all. a 200 point difference is what concerns me here with EX... and when I ring them up I get nowhere with the dorks over the phone... I have sent off for my report with them, then I guess ill have the ref number to hopefully dispute the report and scoring. I get the feeling that my report with them is not generating a score, it is as if it is frozen... 504 in march and 504 in sep??? when the other scores elsewhere are way higher.

If I remember rightly, when I first bought into TU online I decided to pull up all 3 cb's only to not get the one from experian.... now when I try and get it online I get the unable to verify info? I have accessed my report by them through annualcreditreport.com and all is right there. I got refused credit a long time back with my bank and they pulled EX then to and the score given was 504... same as it was last week... 7 months later... it can not have been updated or couldit have been frozen?

I was just got refused with 2 other credit cards, barclays and discover... I am about to say sod it all... been here 2.5 years only got green card in feb 2012.. $5k to immigration in fees and all that... no work at all around here for me, so started a small concrete business that needs to expand to make it... Can't make it without some help in the credit lines or a loan, but with experian giving me a score that is basically non exsistant what is the point in staying here and just waiting for them to bring my score in line with the other bureau's...I take it you need all 3 of them in a good to fair level score at least to get some decent credit going... I'll go back to the UK and get a loan tomorrow but my wife and kids will not get in so easily as me. So frustrating is all this credit reporting over here! My wife lost her job not long after I arrived over here and I ended up paying off all her debts and her mortgage to make sure she would not stress out... thinking I would have little difficulty getting new credit up and running after 6 months.... now look at me!!!

Also I am getting denied on all applications elsewhere... I thought that waiting till at least one card was at 6 months at least would be a good time to apply for credit... getting high HP's on file due to this... how long should I wait? I have 0 utilization on all cards right now... my fako scores with TU and Eq should be in early 700's this month... and FICO with walmart should rise to high 600's? what am I doing wrong here? are my denials all down to experian giving me such a low score?

Ok now I am getting extremely cheesed off with transunion..... vantage score what ever it is at this stage.... TU online indicated to me that I had too few accounts... ok so I go and get myself a secured cc, I have had it over 5 weeks and only today has it been updated on my file... my score has now dropped by a massive 50 points...wth is with them... not going to carry on with the membership with them nor any other monitoring site if this is the direction they give you and then reduce your score... same goes for credit karma as with them this card on their simulator showed I would have my current score increased by 5 points not minus 50.... becoming a farse trying to do the right thing here with building good score and now it is worse score than ever..???

I'm not to sure but yes I think it is the same... I think my TU onine is a "vantage score" at this stage all I know is that's the info given is a guide to a better score with transunion online....it is telling me that my score is better calculated if I have different credit types i.e store credit, credit card, revolving credit, fixed repayments etc etc and a secured or unsecured loan is what I do not have right now........ regardless of that my question is, is it going to be better for me to have a loan repayment account on file/scoring system or a waste of time at this stage of building.... credit karms's simulator projects that my current score "vantage" I'm guessing here will go down by 30 points if this loan is added...

As a new comer to the US, I have been building up credit... I managed to get myself a secured CC an unsecured CC and 4 store/gas cards as pointed out in various threads and posts through this site, all is well and good with my current credit lines, all paid in full before time etc etc... Now that I have some extra cash to spare $1000 I would like to know whether or not I should take out a secured loan with my local bank as I don't have this type of repayment loan on my current file... I was refused at an earlier date an unsecured loan with the same bank based on lack of credit history and no score found etc... I am asking this question now as TU online has within the credit information section of my report, that my score is affected as I don't have any revolving payment accounts to create a score on... They state lenders like to see a variety of credit lines etc to see how well you repay each type, and this is one type I don't yet have... Only issue I have is that on credit karma's simulator I entered a new $1000 personal loan and pressed re-calculate projected score based on this and my score went down 30 points... Now I am only 2 months away from my 1st CC reaching the 6 month mark and I know that's when my true FICO score will kick into effect... I am wanting to have the best possible score I could possibly get by this date as I need to try and get finance available to set up my small business with funds needed at between $10k - $15k, so if I was to take out this secured loan would my score in let's say at least 2 months time be higher or is it going to be a waste of time by reducing my score.... Hope this made sense..... I don't need any credit right now just need my score/file to cover all credit lines and be set up the best I can be for when the time is right to apply...

Re: Transunion/Experian score given but not able to get one with myFICO? What's the dealeo here?

I would appreciate it if someone on here could direct me with opeing the best score monitoring service, getting a little confused with the 3 bureau's and this one with myfico.com, transunion offer all 3 for a rediculous $30 a month but you can only refresh/update their score every 24hrs but not the other 2 and you only get to look at them once in the month with no option of refreshing/updating...

myfico.com offers 10 day free trial then $15 a month after but I am not sure how often you can refresh/update with them... also are they only pulling equifax? same product available with transunion but they use their own pull.. experian do the same thing, so which one is the best, seems to be a little bit of a scam going on if you can not get all 3 at once and have the function of updating them daily... do I have to open accounts with all 3 seperately to do this?

or is there a site that allows you to pull all 3 on a daily basis and lets you refresh them daily to?

edit... just noticed in the myfico products that they sell another product for 19.95 per month standard service.... getting extremely confused now with all this! why pay that much when you can go directly to the other bureau and get it for 5 dollars less per month?
