bribro wrote:

Awesome! I really feel like they should make this an official benefit of the card. With the close relationship between UA and JPMC, it shouldn't be too expensive to add. Some kind of airline status would be a nice benefit too, although I suspect most Palladium cardmembers have elite status anyway.

Since I think there are only 3 of us with the card on this board. I dropped down to the JPM Select card. The problem you will have with mixing cards is you have to call PD service or CLI or issues. The normal chase underwriting wont do the JPM cards. But the JPM underwriters will do the Chase cards. I really liked the cards but the attention and securtiy concerns got to much for me and the wife to stomach. We had our card passed around at restraunts or had cashiers yell at her friend HEY WE GOT A RICH PERSON CARD HERE. its annoying and the CSP is bad but not nearly we hear all the time this card is heavy or they look for the numbers on the front or say sorry we dont take that is not a visa.... until they flip it over. PD card is not for everyone its cool yes but the JPM dose everything I need including the hidden tradeline that we leave 20-40k sitting hidden on it to finance different projects for us.

I missed the thread when it started!

We just checked her reports and they are all right around 730s mostly 0 balances.

Im wanting to pick up a card just for her. Everything we have is joint, except the new ML+ card that I have coming. I think it would be a good idea to at least have one card with a different issur besides chase and nfcu. Amex hates her and discover seems to turn her down everytime. So open to ideas, dont need a cash rewards or anything, just a normal low interest credit card. I think we have hit our max limit at NFCU and Chase so.... ideas. her inquries are around 6-8 most from car shopping and 2 from ge for paypal and lowes

so my theory is confirmed, its the same thing that happened to my wife. I spent more then her as an AU and they FR'd her then. On my PRG I had her put a big 9k charge through on her card and bamn FR. So this is 3 for 3. As soon as I called in being through 3 FRs they said no problem mr popham it was our system and unfroze my account. I stated 168k as income and last years taxes were 196k so I backed up what I told them. And so far they have left me alone for 6 months but they wont approve me for a bcp so go fish....

After amex declined me on my recon to pick up a BCP I was like WTH and went and called Merrill Lynch for the cash + card. I have avoided BOA like the plauge but I decided Ill try them. Went threw the slow app process and then she said I have to transfer you to a credit analyst. I said okay, went to a really nice lady, she looked over my credit and said your approved for 10k. I said can you do a little more. She was nice enough and said after you pay your 2nd statement call ML and we can take care of it with a soft pull from now on! I said good deal. Thanked her for her time and went on about harrassing citi bank.

https://card.ml.com/RWDapp/ml/viewcards

Called to close my account, told the lady that the limit was too low to be usable. Shed said you need to call this number before we close it. 800-444-2568. So last night I called and it is the retention department. Spoke to a nice lady who asked what limit I was looking for and I said 20k match my nfcu or csp limit. She said okay Ill call you back in 30 min or less. Well today at noon I still havent heard from her so I called back. I was told it was declined. The lady was rude. I went to her supervisor and he transfered me over to the presidental office. I told the lady from the presidental office that it was sad that even the reps wouldnt tell you why you were declined. she said Mr. Popham your CRA-equifax is frozen and I cant soft or hard pull you. I said why did i have to sit on hold for 40 min to get tihs simple explaination? she assured me it would be addressed and waited for me to unfreeze equifax and said she would call me personally in 24-72 hours also.

I figured what the heck its been 6 statements since the card was open and I have given them about 12k in business

edit by webhopper
