Assuming your correct, I can't have proof of purchase without the loan to buy the car.

As far as the insurance, this is only a preapproved loan, (spell checked changed the preapproved). I fixed it. So I dont want to buy insurance on a car I'm not sure I can get.

Thanks

I received a letter from one of the banks, Chase.

It states that they are unable to request the removal of the late payment. Delinquency information is furnished to the credit bureaus when two consecutive payments are missed. To preserve the integrity of the credit gueau reprting system, we are unable to alter valid information that was previously reported.

Whats my next step?

I guess I'll keep using Identityprotector for now. There report seems a bit more detailed.

Just so I understand 100%, when appyling for a loan, I should request a copy of my CR?

I also read that you could get your TU from walmart if you have there card.

Awesome, thanks for dumbing it down for me.

I currently use Identityprotector because of a discount from my job. They do give me a detailed report every month, but as you said, its a the score is a FAKO score. Should I cancel or keep it just for the report?

Do FAKO scores tend to be lower?

Also, when you say "your lender" do you mean my CC issuer? I currently have Cap1.

Again thanks!

I've been reading over this forums almost everyday the past few weeks, everything from auto loans to writing GWs. I'm mostly confused on all of the different credit scoring. MyFico gives me a deferent score from freecreditreport, walmart and IdentityProtector. How do I know which one to go by or should I go by all of them? How do I know which one a bank will look at? I am I focusing too much on the number?

This website has tons of information, but it can be a bit overwhelming when taken in in a short time.

Thanks for any help.

1. I'm not doing business with a CU, but I just got a auto loan approval from my CC. I didn't know there was a timeframe like you mentioned for auto loan inquiries. I'll search around here, but if anyone has more info, please share.

3. My plan was applying after because I just got a increase on my CC and was approved for a walmart card, plus I'm working on a 3 GW to send out.

Also I was thinking of using my tax return as maybe down payment. But this preapprovel thing got me thinking about applying now, plus my 94 accord with 300,000+ mile is a Oil-holic.

Is there a "Auto Loan 101" somewhere I can read over?

Questions about Auto loans

I never applied for one and I have a few VERY basic questions. Like most people here, I'm working on building my credit and I just got my 2nd CC. I'm planning on applying for a loan sometime after winter to give time for my score to grow a lil more. I read over some of the post here for auto loan approvals and its really cool to see people with the same income and score as me, are able to get loans. Please keep in mind that this will be my 1st time, so most of these questions are very basic. I'll space them for easy answering.

Where should I apply first? A credit union, bank, dealership or just shop around.

Once approved, how is the money transferred to you and how long does it normally take.

I currently am planning on applying after the winter, but I hear the dealerships have good yearend deals, should I try at the end of the year?

I see that most of the people on the approval topic purchases new or "newer" cars. Is this a limitation that comes with a auto loan or just personal preference. I've been looking at older cars (around 2005-7).

I'll stop here. Even if you answer one question, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Rather than starting a new topic, I'll revive my old one.

Currently my score is 659. It took a big dip to 640 when I had to max my card in Aug. I know this was going to happen, but not this much.

Recently my limit on my CC has increased to $500 about a month ago and i got approved for a Walmart yesterday for $400 I believe.

I also payed of one of my debts with was only $200, but i still have others.

I have two questions.

Whats my next step in building my score and what should the 3rd card be.

and

Is it better to pay a debt in full or pay the settlement...or does it not matter.

...three questions.

Thanks

Right now I only have one CC with a limit of 300. I've had it for almost 3 months now and use it for almost everything, but I pay it a few days later (spend $50, pay $50). On 4/24 my fico score was 647 now its 667. Is there anything I can do to build it faster or is this a good pace?

Thanks for any suggestion.
