I might as well enjoy it while it lasts lol I just got approved for 2 cards and I know my score is gonna drop. I calculated I'll lose about 6 months aaoa, anyone have guestimates on how many points my score'll drop. It's 8 yrs now with 32.5 yrs credit history.

I'm happy to be giving back. When I started rebuilding my credit last August I was in the mid 500's. I've learned alot from the great people here :)

Yes. I applied around 7pm, then called around 8:30. The csr transferred me to the senior analyst that was handling my app.

I still have several negs on my report-1 chargeoff from 2008, a paid collection, a 60 day late from last June, and 3 major derogs 90-120+ lates from 2008/2009. I rec'd the 5-7 day msg from both. The amex I just left alone and 4 days later they emailed me. Discover I recon'd. The analyst seemed impressed how I've cleaned up my credit since 09, no lates other than that 60 day late on my student loans.

Pretty much no apps or CLI reqs , anything that requires a hard pull. You cultivate the credit you already have with timely payments and using it wisely.

Thanks. I was pleasantly surprised. My exq is 699 and tu is 684, but I have 6 negs, one a charge off , one a 60 day late from last June. The rest are 90+ lates from 2008/2009.

For s*&g* I applied for Amex bce card on Monday and recieved 7-10 day message. I thought oh well....whatever. I didn't recon, and they pulled experian. This morning I recieved an email...I WAS APPROVED. I just called and my limit is 7,500...my highest limit EVER. Yay me!!

I've had success too. They doubled my Orchard Bank card and waived the annual fee. They also gave me a cli on my program B BestBuy card which is supposed to be capped.

I even spoke to someone in the BOA exec offices to get them removed. They checked their records and said no, the info was accurate.

It'll be 4 yrs in April. I had a single 30 day late last year and the negative indicator disappeared after a few months.

I was 30 days late for four consecutive months back in 2009. How long is this going to negatively affect my score? It still has a red flag on myfico reports.
