Which would appear to translate that any type of (SP) CLI is curently not available on the account. Discover CLI question

I finally got the "request increase" button on my Discover account about a week ago. I clicked it, and asked for double my limit and it said that it would require a credit pull. I canceled out of it because I do not want any hp's. I was going to try again and just ask for a smaller increase and hope for a sp but now for the past week, when I click on it.....it says I already have one in process so I can't do another one. Is that normal after canceling a request? If so, how long does it normally take for you to try again?

Congrats!! I love FNBO!!! I had my Amex with them for less than 6 months and they doubled my limit!! No hp or sp!! The rep said that they have the preapproval's for a cli in their system already.....all you have to do is call and ask them if you have one and "boom, it's done" :catvery-happy:

Congrats! As someone else said, you can have both bce and blue sky. I was approved for both in the same month. I love them and like to rack up travel and cash between the two.

I think it's only a sp if you have an amex and then get declined on another card but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I won't be opening anymore cards....there is no more than I want. The mastercard yesterday was my cherry on top....I finally feel complete

I got my Freedom card last year and had to beg for it to get the 500.00 limit. They sp'd me a few weeks ago and then I got an auto cli to 1,000 last week. I've only had 3 statements cut.

After reading this post, I went and looked at my cr's and saw that they double pulled me yesterday when I was approved for a card with them. (EQ,EX) It also looks like they sp'd me as well yesterday because a CBNA showed up on my sp's. I assume that is citi

Well they couldn't have been doing an account review before you had an account. Living in fear of a lender is no way to be. You should apply for a card if you want and not be terrified that American Express will close the account. As long as you aren't accumulating more and more debt, you have nothing to be concerned about.

It was them soft pulling me to send preapprovals. Both times they sp'd me, I would get an offer in the mail shortly after. I do worry about Amex because of the stuff I read here but I also am so happy about all the progress I have made over the past year that I sometimes feel like the rug is going to get pulled out from under me. I guess it's something time will heal. *lol* Plus, today is one of those days that everything that can go wrong, has so I am already unhinged....so the words "Account Review" sure didn't help.

My ulility is only 8% so I'm not charging anything out of the norm to spook any lenders

I guess what freaked me out was that when Amex sp'd me before I got cards with them, it just said Amex. Now all of a sudden on the same day I app'd for another card, it said Account Review. I love my Amex's but am terrified of them because of all the stuff I read here. I have nothing to hide, I just don't want any trouble! :catwink:

I got one in the mail from them this week too!! I just laughed because they never sent me anything when I was first starting my credit build and now that I have a good line up, they want my business....go figure! *lol*

Have you opened other accounts since Amex? This is the first one I have opened since and will not be opening anymore. I just checked my Amex accounts and everything looks fine....I have treated them very well since I got them. PIF each month before the statement cut and I'm not getting anywhere near my cl.

Ok...so I am freaking out a bit but maybe this is normal?? Yesterday I app'd for the Citi Diamond Preferred card and was approved. They evidently pulled EQ and EX. I just looked at my EX and it shows a sp from American Express Account Review. I just got the two amex cards back in January and so far only one is reporting but I have not gotten any sp's from Amex like other people here have. Will it say American Express Account Review just for the normal Amex sp's or am I going to be in trouble with Amex for opening the new Citi card???

*lol* I'm sure it helped but with all the new accounts being opened in the past year, I bet my aaoa is not that great. The mortgage has already fell off TU and EX so I know my days are numbered with EQ :cattongue:

Congrats on the approvals!!

I applied for Blue Sky and then 2 weeks later (in the same month) I applied for the BCE and they were both approved and counted as two seperate hp's.
