After many months of not working on my credit I am finally ready to start full force again. I just pulled my credit report from my USAA Credit Monitoring service. Below are the negatives. Below are my scores and negative items on my report. I know I made mistakes, I just need some help on how to repair this.

I'm biting the bullet and sending the CRA's the HIPAA letter tomorrow for my DH's medical bills.

I'm not sure what they are going to do, on the CR's they show a balance and so does the CA. So, I'm hoping after I pay I can get them to pull and delete it.

It's only for 600 dollars. I figured like you, pay it then email email email to get it deleted..

I'll going to pay it tomorrow and see if I can get them to agree to delete in the next few days... I'll keep you updated.

So, I emailed the CEO of Les Schwab requesting PFD. He replied that he was out of town but would get someone to follow up for me.

Yesterday I get an email from the regional director who basically went on and on about how they tried to contact my husband and blah blah then the last paragraph he says, " we can not agree to delete from the CRA's but if you pay in full we may be able to revisit the idea."

Soo, what do you think? Pay it and gamble the delete??

So basically, I can DV the CA but if they dont respond to me but they do validate with the CRA I have no leverage to use that against them with the CRA?

Gotcha... Most of what I'm dealing with on my husbands report are old medical bills and 2 credit cards (les Schwab and Cap1). So this info is very helpful for negotiating!! Thanks again!

I have researched the general SOL, but what I don't get is what category things fall in.

I'm in Utah, are medical bills, credit lines and auto loans all in the same SOL category?

If they fail, can I send my docs of letters/requests sent to the CRA to see if they would delete?

If a CA doesn't respond to a DV, do they have to stop collection efforts... Does this mean they must delete off the report until they do validate since that is technically a collection effort?
