Well, I already have the Amex Zync, so if I apped for the Delta Gold in January, it should show up as opened January 2012, whereas if I wait until later in the year, it would show up as opened in whatever month I apply in. I may just wait until January 2014 if I get declined next month, since it'll be the same effect.

I had apped for this card a couple of times already in the past 6 months, but was declined. Well, today I saw that the $200 offer was back, and I couldn't resist trying again.

I was immediately given the 7-10 business day message. I then checked the status, and saw that I was declined again. However, after calling up their recon number, I was approved for a $500 limit. :smileyhappy: Do I wish it was higher? Yes, but at least I have a Visa card now, and I probably won't be putting more than about $250 per month on it anyway.

How likely am I to be approved for the Amex Delta Gold next month? I've been told it's the easiest Amex credit card to get, and I'd like to take advantage of backdating.

3 cards - one Discover, one Amex charge card, and one Chase AU. With any luck, I'll add another Amex in January.

I've been putting about $100 on it every month and paying it off before the statement cuts. My Discover has seen a lot more usage due to the 5% cashback. Hopefully Amex won't penalize me for not using the card that much.

I'd like to app for the Amex Blue Cash Everyday in January to help out my AAOA and get cashback on groceries. My oldest card is an AU on my mom's Chase Freedom (10 months). I also got a Capital One secured card in April ($200 limit), and a Discover It ($1500 limit) and an Amex Zync (NPSL) in August. I have since closed the CapOne card, which didn't really affect my score.

The worst part about my history is the fact that I have 8 inquiries on Equifax. However, I only have 4 inquiries on Experian, and from what I've heard, Amex is more likely to pull that one. 3 of those 4 inquiries on Experian will be over 6 months old by the time I app for the BCE in January. Do you think I have a good shot at it?

I was seriously tempted to apply for the Chase Freedom after seeing the 2013 categories, but I restrained myself and will wait until at least January to apply for the Amex BCE, since that will help my score more than the Chase.

My Fico EQ score is currently at 696. I was first added as an AU on my mom's Chase Freedom card in late February of this year. After I turned 18, I got a Capital One secured card in early April. I was approved for both the Discover It and the Amex Zync in August.

In September, I decided to close out my Capital One card due to the AF. Thankfully my score didn't change when I did that.

Last month, I apped for the NFL Visa but was declined due to too many new accounts and too much available credit. I have decided to garden until January, at which time I will app for the Amex BCE. Will it help or hurt me to be removed as an AU on the Chase Freedom? My mom is the only one to use the card, and it is PIF every month (as are my other cards).

I was declined for the NFL visa on October 13th for too many new accounts and recent inquiries. Luckily it only affected my Transunion score, but I still need to be more cautious in the future. I'll be in the garden until January 2013, at which time I'll app for the Amex BCE and possibly the Citi Forward student.

I started building credit when I turned 18 this year in March. My mom added me as an AU on her Chase Freedom, and I started off with a CapOne secured card. 7 months later, I have a Discover It and an Amex Zync. At this point the weaknesses in my score are the short history, new accounts, and the high number on inquiries on my Equifax (8). I'm planning on gardening until January, at which point I'll apply for the Amex BCE for backdating purposes. I'm hoping all three of my scores will hit at least 730 by next year at this time.
