Late monthly's reports on closed account?

If an account has been closed for years, Can the OC still keep posting missed monthly payments? I tried paying them to get my balance to zero so it would make my credit to debt ratio go down ( even thou its time-barred already ), but they wouldnt take my payment because it is in their collections now and has been closed for years. I asked if thats the case, can they change my balance to zero and I will deal with the CA via mail. It ticked them off and the only thing they changed was adding 69 "90 lates" and then topped with a recent "120+ late" Score took a 30 point dive. Does that seem right?

The account has been closed and in the hands of Merchants Credit CA for several years. They wouldn't even take my money when i tried to pay them. Something is not legal here.

If its charged off, How can they report 90 days late 69 times and 120+ being most recent? That would mean I kept paying them 90 days late up to today and now Im over 120. Wouldnt it be more like 30, 60, 90, 120+ .. Charge off. Then stop reporting payments at that point.

Last activity was 6 years ago.

This was an old overdrawn credit union account that was charged off and was past its SOL. It was showing a balance of 495 and credit limit of 500. This put my utilization at 66%. I wanted the balance to say 0 since it has been charged off and handed to somebody else. I went into the credit union and explained they were doing and to make a deal to pay them if they just update my bal and they said they cant take my money because its been charged off to Merchants Credit and my account was long ago closed. They told me to dispute it and it would be fixed. I disputed and they come back with this! My score took a 30 point dive. They added a ton of 90 day lates (69 of them) and topped it with a recent 120+ status. If it has been charged off, how can they report late payments and add a butt load on top of that?

I have enough cash to wipe out my entire debt. + the 2000. Im short on credit, not money. My debt just came from being stupid and forgetting about stuff + an old id theft. I'm already all over the DV PFD GW ...etc Im just trying to go about it strategically so my score dont take hits. It takes awhile. Paying everything off I can find right now would slam my score (according to the score simulator ) I have enough saved to put 30% down on a house. Nobody will touch me without at least 640. Im TU608, EX609, EQ639

This is an old Verizon bill. Im sure pinnacle did not buy the debt in good standing. I dont care what they call themselves.

I guess I will attempt a PDF to the credit union then. Or walk in and verbally offer them a PDF. They are right down the road. If they are cool. I'll even ask for my credit back.

Your saying by paying them off, it will not hurt my score and change the date its due to fall off?

You really think a collection agency would buy a debt that is passed SOL?

Im still not sure what to do here?

If I pay them my debt vs credit goes under 10% Good.

If I pay them, The date gets reset. Bad

Which would be worse?

Maybe I should go into the bank and show them my credit report and let them kmow that SOL is up and if they restore that 500 limit, I will pay them. Would that work or would it screw me on the dates too?

It drops off my report in 10 months but if there is some action I can take to get a credit bump, Id rather do that.

I have thought about that but its a credit union Im dealing with here. Not a CA.I wouldn't think they would put something like that in writing for me like a sleazy CA would because they are really not suppose to do that right? I would gladly pay the 495 to make it just disappear.

Just being corrected will put my untilization below 10% and that will give me a pretty good score increase.

Trying to take the money I have now and knock out my most recent collections Thats my other prob. Not sure witch ones to pay because I dont want any new dates. I have enough cash right now to knock out my entire collections side of things but fear that it would hurt my score.

Im trying to get my score into a decent spot to buy a house. Then I wont be worried about the score and knock out all debt and start building after. I just need about 40 more points to get a fair deal from a lender for a home.

I have an account at an old credit union. Says I owe 495 out of a 500 credit limit (type being revolving account) and charged off at the same time. The debt just passed SOL last month and I don't want to do anything to reset it.

My main prob with it is that this "charged off revolving account" is wrecking my debt to credit utilization and putting it at 60 something percent.

It should just be sitting in collections and getting ready to fall off my report in a year.

How should I approach this?

Line of CreditKitsap Federal Cu

Status as ofDate opened [?]Date of last activity [?]Date closed [?]Loan type [?]Credit limit [?]Largest past balance [?]Account Type [?]Account holder [?]Industry

Feb, 2013

Nov, 1995

Jan, 2007

Apr, 2007

Line of Credit

$500

$500

Revolving Account

Individual Account

Credit Unions and Finance Companies

Descriptions [?]

Unpaid balance charged off

Contact Information [?]1025 Burwell St
Bremerton, WA 98310
(206) 479-3300

Balance [?] Current Status [?]

$495

Charged off as bad debt

Seven year payment history [?]30 days late60 days late90+ days late

0 times

0 times

0 times

Worst Delinquency [?]

None Reported

The Worst Delinquency reports the worst missed payment status that has been documented on this account.
Sending certified mail from home using online services?

I was wondering if anybody here uses these services? I see a few of them online. Some just print your labels for you, some provide envelopes and label is printed on paper and, some let you upload a Word Doc and they take care of everything. I think I would like the upload Word doc method. Anybody have any input on these services and which ones are the best and easiest to use?

Re: Garnishment was how I discovered a Judgement against me. Need some advice.

Thanks for your input guys. Thought I would give you an update. Called County clerks and it turns out this was some old court cost I forgot to pay from 2008. There was a Summary Judgement and I dont even have to be present for that. (Thats why I was never served papers) She said a Vacate was not an option because I have already been to court in 2008. I wondering if this can be reported on my Credit report as a recent judgement like it is? It would take 7 more years to fall off. The original debt was in 2008. If it has to stay on, it would be nice to see it as 2008 and Satisfied instead.

Another thing is the debt is not matching the judgement. (Docket number is correct minus one letter) Im not sure where the 650 figure that all 3 of my reports have on them come from? It not the original debt before the 12% apr and other fees either. Im guessing my best plan of action now is to dispute this with the CRAs.

Anymore advice?

Thanks, Scott

Dynamic Collectors, Inc Sent a writ if garnishment (certified letter) to a house I have not lived in for the past 5 years. A "Helpful" friend living there signed it and gave it to me. (Mid Nov) I checked the my credit report and there was a judgement for 650 dollars awarded to Dynamic Collectors on 6/12.

Now the writ shows a 1440 dollar judgement plus misc fees adding up to 1675 dollars.

This does not make any sense to me because:

1. I never received a summons to go defend myself or was even aware of them wanting money

2. The judgment amount on my reports don't match the garnishment amount.

They started taking 25% of my paycheck. This Friday will be the last 100 dollars to be taken.

I have been tempted to Call Dy C to see what this is all about but I have a medical bill from them with a SOL up on 1/13 and dont want to wake that up.

I was thinking about waiting until the 2/13 (in 2 weeks) and going to county clerk and asking for proof that I was served and starting a Vacate procedure.

Anybody of you credit gurus have any solid advice on this? The judgement is keeping from getting a VA home loan.

I have 3 collections with this company. 2 Are weird because they list the same hospital. Different balances. All the same dates except The Date of first delinquency is 8 months apart. .And none of these match or added together for amount from the judgement either.

Thank you

PFD after SOL is up just to make it gone?

Hello all. My name is Scott and I have a score of 577 and Im working on uping this to buy a home. I was under the impression that fedral law says there is a SOL of 2 years on cell phone bills. This is over 2 years now. I was wondering what action to take with this? I know SOL has nothing to do with the 7 +180 amount of time this stays on your report. I was wondering on how to go about composing a letter for a PFD (offering them 50%) You would think they would jump on it since they dont even have grounds to come after me for it any longer. I just dont want to say the wrong things. I have not had any contact with them at all. I just want it gone. Thanks guys.

Here is the problem child on my report as listed on transunion:

<div
