Can anyone help?

I've already sent DV and recieved validation. Debt is a small amount and past SOL but still reportable. Tried PFD with the Reovery Team email. No dice... I've seen lots of old threads with contacts sent via PM. Anyone feeling super nice and willing to help out?

I do plan to send a postal PFD today as well.

Older CA Accounts Question

First, thanks to all of the regulars here for all your help. Appreciated.

In regards to a CA account that is within 12 months of falling off due to reporting laws, is there any benefit to paying these? I'd like to see my report cleaned up. I've DVed several and gotten replys back. I am pondering a PFD. Should I offer less since the account is old? Does the reporting factor in when making a request for a delete?

I should note that this is a very old account. I never recieved a dunning notice. Does that matter?

Also, I added a reference to the fact that adding comments does not consitue a proper validation. Thoughts?

Awesome thanks. I've bolded VALIDATE in the letter. I also added "THIS IS NOT A DISPUTE" after the CA address. Any thoughts on how this might help my cause?

CA DV Dispute Comments

I sent out a DV. Simple DV. No mention of the word DISPUTE. I used VALIDATE.

The CA has added the "Consumer Disputes" comments to my TLs. I haven't heard back from the CA (yet) but I'd like to fire off another DV -- stressing that I did not DISPUTE but wanted VALIDATION.

Thoughts? Or should I give it 30 days?

Confused: Did a CA hire another CA to collect or is this a sold/transfer debt?

I've got an open TL account from a CA. I recently sent a DV to this CA. Today I recieved a settlement offer from another CA (same debt and OC) listing the CA that owns the tradeline as the 'client'. I've never seen this done before. Did the first CA farm out my collection to another CA or has this been sold? The letter states that after I make my payment the CA will have the 'client' update my record as paid with the CRAs.

I've already fired off my DV to the original DV / 'client'. Should I DV the other CA? Seems like I might want to, as they are attempting to collect. Should't they have to provide documentation? From what I can tell this CA does not have an active TL with the CRAs (yet). The debt is outside of my states SOL but can still be reported for another year.

Thoughts?

Hi all seasoned credit veterans

I sent a DV to a CA for two open accounts. About one week prior to sending the DV I disputed the accounts with all 3 CRAs.

First, the response was a bit cagey. They did agree to remove the lines. The response was the same as seen in this thread:

My question is this -- I've already disputed these lines with all 3 CRAs. If the CA deletes, what happens to the open disputes? I understand I shouldn't have disputed without sending the DV, but I started the dispute process prior to finding this site and getting educated.

I'm just concerned the dispute may hold up the delete.
