Re: 2008 Tribeca

thanks for all the advice!! I just prchased the 2008 tribeca  for a dealer cost of 28400.00 and got a 4000.00 rebate plus a payoff on our van and 500.00 over the payoff so it was 23900.00 plus tax and license so i hope not to bad of deal.It listed for around 31000.00.My score at the dealership was 685 and that was with a BK in 2005.I went with the CU for 5.79apr for 72m

Re: 2008 Tribeca

Well go to www.edmunds.com and look at the TMV that should be a start.  Also, look in your local ads.  I don't know the market for Tribeca's, but I'm guessing in California it's different than say CT or MA.  Also, your credit score and APR have nothing to do with whether you are getting a good deal, they are independent...focus on the price of the car.

Re: 2008 Tribeca

I've been researching Subarus myself.  Here is a site that I find very helpful.  This first one is pricing information with dealer invoice for each trim level:

2008 Pricing

Rebates don't seem to apply to purchase with Subaru promotional financing

2008 Rebates

APR for the Tribeca, through Nov. 3rd:

2008 Promotional APR with Tiers

You were right on the border of Tier 1/2, score 700+, for 0%, vs. Tier 3, at 5.5%, so you may want to pull a current score.

It looks like they are offering you the (EDIT: )$3750 cash back from the original invoice price, so as long as you are OK with getting your own financing that's probably a great deal.  If your score is over 700 now, you may qualify for their 0% up to 60 months, which you would have to weigh against the lower financed amount from taking the cash back at a higher APR.  If your score is under 700 then you are definitely getting the better deal as it is right now.

I don't know how your previous bk would impact the promotional financing offered by Subaru.
