AMEX auto purchase program

Anyone know how this works? Specifically, how they work the financing? Any benefits? Surely, you can't just put this on your AMEX card right?

My understanding is it just allows you to use your card for a downpayment at participating dealerships only.....correct me if I am wrong...

The program starts like TurePrice where they give you quotes from a few dealers. Quote is decent but something you could probably beat on your own.

Additionally each dealer will allow you to put at least $2000 of the down payment on your card. There is a search function to see which dealers will allow you to make 100% of the purchase on your card. You can serach by brand and state or the entire US.
