I ran into a similar issue with my 2013 Impreza. (The combination of 4WD and 36mpg highway was turning a lot of heads.)
No one had it in black, but everyone said that, if they did, it would be well over MSRP. I was on a road trip from Texas to Washington, at the time, so I just kept checking out dealerships as I went. Found the car in Tacoma for $75 LESS than MSRP.
The paperwork was a pain, because I was living in Texas, at the time, but we got the deal done. The 4WD was comforting on the snowy drive home.
