We are in final underwriting waiting on CTC. We need to refi our high rate car loans and app for some credit cards. Of course we are waiting until after we close. In CA, I was told we get the keys the day after the signing since we have to wait until it's recorded. But once the CTC is issued, isn't it pretty much a done deal as far as credit is concerned. Can they rescind the CTC if they are monitoring our credit and see inquiries pop up (somehow? Not sure how unless they pulled our credit again after a CTC). Or, once we sign docs, then can we go? Do we absolutely have to wait until keys are in hand the next day? Reason I ask is because we will have limited time off of work and want to take care of this stuff while we have the time to do so...we have to drive an hour out of town to NFCU on base before they close.
