Assuming a lease and its impact on credit history

Does assuming (taking over) an auto lease get reported on your credit report? For example, if I assume the final 6 months of someone else's lease, will the lease payments that I make be reflected on my credit report?

Re: Assuming a lease and its impact on credit history

I heard from a lease transfer agency that told me that lease transfers are indeed reflected on the new lessee's credit report as a new lease.
