Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

Take out a 500 dollar loan through your credit union for 6 months to build history with them and then they will let you get it refinanced.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: It was orginally denied late on a Saturday afternoon, finance manager said he would call BMWFS Monday morning to find out why since offices closed at 5pm on Sat. Called me Monday by 11 am and said approved.  The dealership had 3 loaner cars they were leasing.  I have BK from 2005, my utilization was up due to visa statement reported high balance before I paid in full lost 23 points. I have 3 closed auto loans one of the loans did have (3) 30 day lates 2008 from reporting issues (Santander bought the loan) still trying to get that resolved was never late.  Had to pay 1st months payment $457.00, acquistion fee $795.00, title taxes $400.00ish, in total out of pocket approx $1,700.  Finance manager said he thinks the BK is auto denial in system and always has to call and get a person to override the approval if creditwothiness is shown.  He also stated any time there is no down payment you often have to have 700+ score (Elite Tiering) to get automatic system approval.

APPROVING BANK:  GMAC Financial
BUREAU PULLED:  Equifax - I think
CREDIT SCORE:  621

NEW/USED: New

MAKE:  Chevy
MODEL:  Cruze
MILEAGE: 24

AMOUNT OF LOAN:  21,500
TERM CONTRACTED: 72 months
APR/LEASE RATE:  8.99%
MONTHLY PAYMENT:  390
ANNUAL INCOME:  76,000
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:  Was approved through Capital One Blank Check for $21600, 60 months 8.68% (had horrible credit in the past, had financed three through Wells Fargo at 19 or 20% - NEVER again, I'd walk before financing with them again!) .  Went to three dealers.  Two of the three claimed they didn't accept the Cap One Blank Check including the dealership I bought at.  They were sure they could meet or get better financing.  Day before I picked up car finance lady calls.....I was able to get you GMAC financing but its at 12.99%.  I said thanks but no thanks I'll go somewhere that I can use the Cap One check.  She asked me to email her copies of the check and dealer page and that she would try and get an exception from the GM.  An hour later she called and claimed she strong armed GMAC into the 8.68 for 60 months or 8.99 for 72 months.  Guess it all comes down to $$.....the dealers have to be getting a kick back from the finance companies.  Lesson learned.....never accept the first term rates on financing!!
