MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: I was going to add my wife for income but they qualified me on my own even though I already have another car loan and a personal loan with them so this is a second auto loan they are giving me on my own no income verification or anything. I put a deposit on the car today pick it up thursday hopefully. I applied over the phone and got an approval while I waited. This preapproval made it a lot easier for me to choose a car I want without worrying about the dealer controlling the financing.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Capital One, which I despise for a credit card, came through beautifully. Approved online within seconds (although had to verify identity by phone because of fraud alert), and sent the check out immediately. Dealer first said he couldn't beat their rate and let me keep my score sheet showing the Beacon 5.0 at 811. I was surprised, but now know they run high. At pickup, finance manager called me in and gave me 2.99, so I went with that.

But Capital One was great, and if I stayed with them would have gotten $100 cash back.
