MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Applied online and my wife and I were automatically approved for their lowest rate. We ended up going with 72mos/1.99 and we had flexibility on car selection since our max amount was 46k pre-approved. The is a 2013 Audi A4, premium plus, navigation, and other options with a sticker price of 42,355. We had a trade in which helped since we were positive a few grand but I ended up working up a great deal. (better than NFCU's car buying program) It's been an awesome experience with NFCU and their blank draft check. For our future vehicle purchases we will definitely go this route again.
Just used that approval to buy a 2013 Ford Focus SE 4D in Candy Blue Metallic. It's gorgeous! Car cost $16,523 out the door before a $1,023 down payment.
^Nice!
Is it hard to get an auto loan if I had a Judgement and CO that was first reported back in 2008? they won't remove it

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Didn't think I could get an auto loan with my low credit score, but applied online and was approved for $30,000 with a lower rate than I thought. I'm planning on paying it off in 2 1/2 years.
UPDATE: Went to the NIssan dealership yesterday with my True Car certificate and Cap One blank check. Also was emailing back and forth with a sales person from another dealership at the same time. The one I was emailing offered me a much better deal than the dealership I was sitting at. (Tried to get me to pay MSRP...yeah...right!) I showed them the email from my iPhone with the low offer from the other dealership, the sales manager said "I'll be damned" and tried to split the difference. I said no because I didn't need a car, I wanted a car. I wasn't desperate and was willing to wait to get the best deal I could. He gave in and gave me the car for what the other dealership was going to give it to me for, even though his had over $800 in additional options. From all the research I did online, it was a really good deal and lower than the True Car certificate amount. I've never bought a car by myself before (55 years old out of a long term marriage and ex-husband dealt with cars) and am very proud of the negotiating and homework I did!
As for financing, I took my Cap One blank check, but had Nissan run my credit to see what they could offer me. The lowest APR they would give me was 12%. I used my Cap One blank check and drove off with a brand new pearl white Nissan Altima SL with beige leather interior, loaded with a nav system and the works. Had been driving an 04 Hyundai Sonata which I loved, but I had no idea cars had so many features today. It's going to take me a while to get used to all of the "gadgets," but I am very excited and totally in love with my new car!
@busyscmom what credit bureau did Capital One pull?

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: I had an auto loan with Santander starting August 2012 for a used vehicle, didn't think I would be able to get a new vehicle with my credit but was approved by Chrysler Capital (joint venture of Chrysler and Santander). Plan to pay it down and get refinanced with CU.
