MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: So this is the first car I have ever bought, I've always driven hand me downs from my family, I am also a recovering addict with 2 years clean at 31 so I am basicaly still a child lol. I started cleaning up my credit back in May and my scores were mid-500's across the board. Now they are mid to high 600's. Was driving a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was killing me on gas. Never thought I would be able to buy a new(to me) car the way my life was headed. I have truely started to turn my life around, and credit wise wouldnt have been able to do it without these boards!
Congrats on your first auto purchase!
More importantly, CONGRATULATIONS on being 2 years clean and sober!!!! Stay encouraged and keep moving upward.
Enjoy your new car

First car loan. couldn't be happier. Right now i'm in my final year of college while working as a co-op 12 months for a large petrochemical company, hopefully be able to pay it off when I graduate with a job. Dealers worked through for me and helped me seal the deal on my bday. This forum was also very helpful!

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Easiest process ever! I applied for a pre approval Auto loan and requested 45,000. I was conditionally approved the next business day and NFCU requested proof of income. I later called back the next day and was approved. I went to the dealership and NFCU faxed over a letter of approval. The next day I recieved all documents and check from NFCU and thats was it. NFCU has been VERY good to me.
