Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

Why would you have to work hard to get that deal?  You've got some good scores!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

Well, they weren't ALWAYS this good...I had my head in the sand for a few years, hoping that if I ignored my problems they'd just go away. WHOOPS. When I faced it, I cleaned the whole mess up PLUS in about 3 years.

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

That's a great quote at the bottom of your post. Honest as hell. I have to start a company-mandated training program at work, and though I'm not new with my employer I'm in a new position which to say it nicely is stretching my capabilities into a new shape...made me think of coaching and counseling as we call it and my challenge to get people to take personal responsibility for the actions that brought them into my office, instead of sitting and talking about "Why doesn't so and so get in trouble? Why am I being picked on/singled out/etc."

Because I caught YOU in the act, is my answer.

Sorry everyone to be off-subject. Still loving my RAV.

APPROVING BANK: Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU)
BUREAU PULLED: Experian
CREDIT SCORE:  672 (Coincidentally, the highest of all three...by a lot)
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: NY
NEW/USED: New
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2008
MAKE: Saab
MODEL: 9-3
MILEAGE: ---
RETAIL/LEASE: Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: ~$9970
TERM CONTRACTED: 60 months
APR/LEASE RATE: 7.8%
MONTHLY PAYMENT: $200.42
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:  [This happened 11/08]  This was with a trade-in, incentives and a hefty down payment.  This CU originally denied me until the dealer called them, unbeknownst to me, and convinced them that it's a win-win situation for them even if I were to default (small loan amount on a new car and will never be upside down).  I already paid off $2500 and plan on it being completely paid in less than a year.  My history shows 3 car loans all paid off with no lates and one current car loan, no lates.   Edited to add:  Paid off 8/13/09!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

APPROVING BANK: Mid State Educators Credit Union
BUREAU PULLED: All three
CREDIT SCORE: Average score of 650
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE:Ohio
NEW/USED:Used
YEAR OF VEHICLE:2007
MAKE:Hyundai
MODEL:Sonata
MILEAGE:35,000
RETAIL/LEASE:Refinance
AMOUNT OF LOAN:15,600
TERM CONTRACTED:60 months
APR/LEASE RATE: 5.95%
MONTHLY PAYMENT:Approx 320 per month. Close on Friday
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:
I originally purchased the car through citi financial and was approved at a rate of 15.8% back in august of 2007. After a year and a half of not missing a payment of 400$ a month, I applied for refinancing through road loans and was denied so fast it would make your head spin. Then I gave it one last shot and applied with a credit union and they approved me for 7.71% then I found an offer to lower it to 5.95% with automatic payment deductions.  I am really happy~ If your trying to refinance. Keep trying!
