MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: I had a $4500 downpayment.  No trade.  Chapter 13 filed 6/06 converted to Chapter 7 in 1/09 and discharged 4/22/09!  I got zero financing a week after discharge!  I almost started crying!  I was approved by Cap One blank check with 10.45% for 60 months and so happy about that , I almost didn't even let them run my credit!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

The 2009 model has $3500 customer cash or 0% for 60 months.

The 2010 has $1000 customer cash or 0% for 36 months.

I wasn't expecting to be financed by Ford Motor Credit at all,let alone for 0%....$3500 customer cash was a huge incentive!  It's still new and the last time I had a car payment under $300 was in 1997!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

Hey Trudawg660.......At least you got close to the amount you need.  I'm also getting a 2010 Camaro and i'm worried about getting financed.  Mine is being built right now so it's a little early for me to start shopping around for a car loan.  Congrats!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

APPROVING BANK: Nationwide Finance (based out of Chicago)
BUREAU PULLED: Not sure
CREDIT SCORE:  478
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE:  MICHIGAN (MI)
NEW/USED:  USED
YEAR OF VEHICLE:  2004
MAKE:  CHEVROLET
MODEL: MALIBU MAXX (pretty cool car) fully loaded
MILEAGE: 67, 500
RETAIL/LEASE: Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: $10094.99 + interest $5971.57=$17566.56 plus $1,500 down
TERM CONTRACTED: 4 years (48 months)
APR/LEASE RATE: 25% APR
MONTHLY PAYMENT: $334.72
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Total of car before taxes and fees was $7900. The car payment also includes GAP coverage.  I did get approved with Drive USA but they wanted a miniumum of $2000 and I could not afford that. I was able to negotiate $1500 with Nationwide and my dealer paid my last car payment for my lease.  I'm not happy about this loan but at least I have something decent to drive.

APPROVING BANK: Texoma Educators Federal Credit Union
BUREAU PULLED: TU
CREDIT SCORE: 660
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: NC
NEW/USED: NEW
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2009
MAKE: Honda
MODEL: Accord EX-L (No navigation)
MILEAGE: 30
RETAIL/LEASE: Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: 24000 (Salesman offered 25,700 I held firm at 24k...Honda is definitely flexible)
TERM CONTRACTED: 60 months
APR/LEASE RATE: 2.1%
MONTHLY PAYMENT: $423
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: I've been waiting nearly three months to post this!! I have a bogus tax lien on my credit report which I'm still in the process of removing.  I have to keep the papers from the State
handy when someone runs my credit in order to explain that it shouldn't be on the report.  My Credit Union initially gave me 3.9% at 60 months but they
were running a promotion to "Spin the Wheel" to see if I could beat the rate.  My spin fell on the 2.1% slot which cut the interest nearly in half.  Car
sale went very smoothely and aside from a little bit of misunderstanding about how the payment would be handled between the dealer and my credit union everything
was great.
