APPROVING BANK: MCU
BUREAU PULLED: NT SURE
CREDIT SCORE: 550(I know horrible)
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: NEW YORK
NEW/USED: USED
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2015
MAKE: CHEVROLET
MODEL: CRUZE 1LT
MILEAGE: 5,780
RETAIL/LEASE: RETAIL
AMOUNT OF LOAN: 16K

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Background story for you guys in high school I got two credit cards one 6k limit and another 600 limit both with chase. I forgot about it and it ended up going to collection. So for the past few years I've been paying it off while in college which is why my credit score is **bleep**. My mom helped cosign and was beyond shocked that I was able to get my apr to 3.5%. I put $1500 down payment as well.

APPROVING BANK: NFCU
BUREAU PULLED: Experian
CREDIT SCORE: 717 (FICO Auto Enhanced)
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: WA
NEW/USED: NEW
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2017
MAKE: Mazda
MODEL: CX-3
MILEAGE: 0
RETAIL/LEASE: Retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: 19,175
TERM CONTRACTED: 60 months
APR/LEASE RATE: 2.39%
MONTHLY PAYMENT: $340
ANNUAL INCOME: 58K
DEBT TO INCOME RATIO: 25%
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: If I had done a 48 month term, the APR would've been 1.99%. Highly recommend NFCU if you're eligible. They approved me for $30K, and sent me a draft, which means dealers treat you the same as a cash buyer if you reveal it to them.

Do you tell the dealers you are a cash buyer, or have a pre-approval from NFCU lined up?

I did prepproval with NFCU, and they sent me a draft.  That made me the same as a cash buyer for the dealer once I told him about it.

I think NFCU does the same thing with used car loan preapprovals as well.
