Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

No problem shentographer, Approvals thread has helped me alot also. Infiniti's are great cars. I was going to do CPO bmw, but decided to go with a new car. Interest rate was going to be about the same with bmw.

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

APPROVING BANK:  Capital One Auto Finance
BUREAU PULLED: All three
CREDIT SCORE: TU 683, EQ: 618 EX 585 (fako) Dealer didn't tell me what my auto enchanced scores were when they pulled CR. I had been approved by COAF before I went in to the dealer.
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: AL
NEW/USED: New
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2010
MAKE: Nissan

MODEL: Altima 2.5S
MILEAGE: 13
RETAIL/LEASE: retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: 18,300
TERM CONTRACTED: 60 months
APR/LEASE RATE: 7.13
MONTHLY PAYMENT: ` $365

INCOME: $57,600
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Wow! I was surprised to even get approved, let alone at such a relatively low APR! I was turned down by several CUs. I have about 13 medical collection accounts and 4 CC charge offs that have not been repaid (working on cleaning these up). I also have about $140K in student loans. Last year I opened a BofA secured card and have had perfect payment history and low utilization. I also cleaned up some derogs on my CR. My scores then were in the high 400's to low 500's. My student loans also went into repayment last year and I have perfect payment history on the various accounts. I also have a paid auto loan (60 mos.) through Ford Motor Credit that I payed off in 2008 with a perfect payment history and several paid as agreed or otherwise accounts in good standing. I have way more good than bad stuff on my CR. Roguhly 45 accts (student loans) and AAoA is 11 yrs. Loan was no money down required but LTV was 110% which would almost guarantee a need to put something down after taxes etc. I had planned to put $2K down plus trade in (got $950) and ended up financing the above. Pretty pleased!

EDIT: Btw, I applied on 8/26 but did not want to post this until the deal had finalized in case things fell apart. lol

Auto Loan Approvals!

APPROVING BANK: America Honda Financial
BUREAU PULLED: TU

CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: TN
NEW/USED: Used
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2009

MODEL: Accord Coupe EX
MILEAGE: 7,521
RETAIL/LEASE: retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: $21,838
TERM CONTRACTED: 60

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: No money down with a 5/60 Honda Care warranty (finance company required it - not sure if I believe it but we were probably going to do it anyway so they had to lower the car price to accommodate it). Dealer's initial offer was 60 months at 11.5% for $551/mo - I hate the whole sales game thing. Rate is a little high but we got the car we wanted

BUREAU PULLED: TU and EQ

CREDIT SCORE: EQ 680 / TU 676

CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: TX

NEW/USED: Used

YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2005

MAKE: Infiniti MODEL: FX35

MILEAGE: 48,528

RETAIL/LEASE: retail AMOUNT OF LOAN: $24,039

TERM CONTRACTED: 60

APR/LEASE RATE: 6.1%

MONTHLY PAYMENT: $472.25

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: First off.  I DID NOT want to buy a new car.  I really liked it.  However, I was spending WAY too much money on repairs.  I traded in a 2003 Ford Explorer EB edition.

Originally approved by CapOne. Was prepared to use the Blank Check. Dealer asked if I was interested in using their financing. I agreed as long as they pulled only 1 report and could guarantee a lower rate (LOL!). My rate went from 7.54% to 6.1%. This may seem high, but my last car was 17.95% with CapOne. Dealer gave me a lot of trouble with my trade-in. Though I really wanted this car, I got up to leave when they refused to give me full pay off. The fact that I already had financing and the sales guy understood that I had done my research really helped me. He realized that I was ready to walk and I could hear the conversation he was having with his manager. It would have been silly for him to lose the deal over $1000. I had to add the service contract and gap insurance to the loan. I also got free oil changes.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Not the best rate, but utilization at the time was 95%, No lates, Collections, COs, just very high utilization. Previous car loan was 30% rolled 3,800$ negative equity on the loan. Car had 140,000 miles on it, fearing it would break down any day. Got a 1,000$ rebate and 1,500$ for the trade. Put 3,000 down. Very surprised for approval with my utilization and that much negative equity. The price of the car includes every power option/upgrade short of the body kit that some come with. This also included 6 yr 75,000 mile extended warranty, with gap coverage.
