Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

clhchewy81: I was just wondering why you didn't go to a Nissan dealer in the first place?  They would have done the deal up front.  Didn't know Carmax did new vehicles anyway, but they most certainly can't have the same incentives a Nissan dealer would have, and since Carmax has to be buying the car from Nissan or one of their dealers, they have to have a higher bottom line unit cost than the dealer would have I suspect.  Glad things worked out for you, that's a good deal.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:
Having been a financial slacker for the past few years of my adult life (obviously), I was expecting to have a difficult time getting anyone to finance me.  But, now that I'm older and a bit wiser, I've managed to bring my credit score back from the dead.  A year ago at this time, I was a floundering 400.  Ouch.  I have worked to pay off old debts and pay current debts timely.  The pattern of responsibility paid off and I could not be happier with my purchase!

Re: Auto Loan Approvals!

you said that your CS went down afterwards. Do you mean it went down with the inquiry and they went by your original CS or did they go by the hurt CS afterwards to base your loan on?
