I am 24, trying to get a new Camaro 2LT at $38k, I may be able to bargain it down a bit more (out of the door price maybe?) with incentives like $500 for graduating student.
Income: $50k gross
My score now is EQ Fico8 646, good payment history (never miss any payment). it may jump back to approx. 690 after the next bank report. (646 because of high utilization).
Credit Utilization: 59%, will be 5% after the next report from bank.
Inquiries: 4 this year, 5 last year. I was dumb enough to let BoA pull 3 hard inquiries just to ask for CLI.
Credit Length: I opened my first card in Feb 2015 (BoA) and second card in March 2015 (Discover). My most recent one are 3 cards, 2 from Chase and 1 from CapOne (within last month).
What APR will I be likely to get with this information? I am able to put about $4k-$7k down. Which lender should I use?
Try DCU or PenFed
Interest rates vary wildly among lenders, as far as what they look for for a certain rate.
Check out Chevy's first-time buyer incentives, and colllege grad program. It might save you some cash, and let you finance a little less, especially with what is in effect a 15-20% down payment. If you're concerned about inquiries (although usually a slew of them within a short time frame, coded as "auto lender" inquiries, will not have any big impact on your file) you can go with trying to get pre-qualified with a credit union or Capital One, but keep in mind that those lenders will generally not allow you to use the incentives from Chevrolet - which are usually tied to your using captive lenders from the dealer/manufacturer.
I tried both, DCU only allow me to loan $20k, and PenFed denied me right away. I guess I have to see what the dealer offers so I might wait a little longer for my credit report to recover a bit more.
