Bad Credit Loan for Private Seller

My scores are in the 580's and I'm looking to buy a car. I'll prob spend between 5,000-6,000 and could put 500 down. It makes more sense to get one from a private seller, but I don't know how to get a loan for something like that. Fresh-baked apple pie for the most helpful response!

You might want to check out prosper.com as an option. I've never used that community to get a loan, but some members of this site recommended it in the past. Other members of this forum indicate that they are lenders over there and attest to its legitimacy. Good luck!
