I need to get a new car very soon and some places have the 0% APR going on. I've read some posts in these forums that say you can be considered a "well qualified buyer" if you have a score of 720+ but others say you need 760+.
Currently I have EQ 729 and TU 738. I have a job and only have about 15% debt but I have never had an auto loan. I also have 17+ yrs credit history.
Just wondering what anyone's thoughts or experiences are. Thanks.
It is possible and will depend on the dealer you go to.
Toyota is offering 0% for Tier 1 - Tier 3 scores, which supposedly start at 650, so I'm pretty sure you'd qualify there. I've also heard that Mazda has pretty low score criteria for 0%. I'm planning on applying with Mazda later this week, so I guess I'll find out.
